Arget raised her head, nickering softly. She swung her head around, muzzle brushing Briar's knee.

Briar squeaked in surprise- not fear, though. She opened her eyes and looked down at her.

Arget rolled big blue eyes up to her, tilting her head this way and that.

She smiled and tentatively touched her mane, "Hello there, beautiful."

Anita smiled as Arget nuzzled her again, whickering softly.

Briar couldn't help but grin and she looked to Anita.

She likes you. Anita mouthed the words.

Briar grinned and took another deep breath. Her legs weren't squeezing Arget, but she could feel the mare's body expand with every breath. It was amazing, like she was part of the horse.

Anita smiled.

"Breathe as she does. Move as she does. Feel. Know."

Arget stepped towards a new bush, nibbling on it while flicking her tail, tightening her muscles just a bit.

Briar nodded and took a breath, deep, filling her lungs. Muscles moved beneath her and she did the same, trying to feel things the way Arget did.

Arget dipped her head and nuzzled Briar's knee again, trotting a little bit.

It made her happy to prance about.

Briar was steadier this time as she held her arms out, tilting her head up to the sky.

Arget started to canter, low and steady, crossing the plains in a slow way, giving Briar time to adjust.

"Wow," The young princess breathed out and opened her eyes, watching the world move by her. She felt untouchable on top Arget, like the rest of the world didn't matter.

Arget was ready.

Was Briar?

Time to test her.

She launched into a speedy gallop, taking on the world with her hooves, biting into the dirt, head down, eyes half-closed.

Briar was safe - she would never endanger a human.

But she needed to trust Arget, and this was the way to test it.

Briar's legs tightened to keep her from sliding off the beast's sleek back, but her heart beat with excitement. She let out a soft giggle and told herself to keep still and calm.

Arget stopped.

It was sudden, quick, and her head popped up while her haunches stayed on the ground.
She was sitting, and Briar had no arms.

She nudged Briar, nickering, bobbing her head.

"Hold her mane!"

Briar did as Anita shouted and lowered her hands quickly, gripping Arget's mane between her fingers.

Arget stood up, trotting a few feet.

She reared onto her hindlegs, spinning in the air before lowering herself to the ground.

She was tired, laying down and nudging Briar towards the ground, flopping back.

"You trust her, right?"

Briar glanced over at Anita and nodded, "Yes, I trust her."
