"Hmm. You have my sympathy, though it is worth nothing." He said, looking around again. "It's certainly better made than where I live." He commented, chuckling
She chuckled and turned around, the freshly baked chicken and assorted foods scent wafting in. "I used to run this place as an orphanage but they have all either moved on or found good homes.

Dunkel looked at her once again in surprise. "An orphanage? You are a very nice person to do that. And patient." He chuckled, following the scent of food
She chuckled and led him to the dinning room "well most of them had small disabilities and others were just normal kids, i just didnt want them to end up on the streets." She said

He looked at the food and smiled, nodding to her. "That I am. Thank you. And you don't seem so bad as to have people afraid of you." He said, sitting down and taking a plate, filling it with food.
"Well there was one young boy who had come to us as a joke, he had a home, a family and one of the children knew it but none of the rest of us would listen to him, in the meantime this child was planning a very, very horrid thing to try and do, and once he had the chance he did it.." She took a moment to eat a bit then went back to her story. "The child who had known he tried telling me many times and i deeply regret not listening because i was doing many things at once, with over fifty children and teens to attend to i couldn't listen to one young boys thought fables. But one night there was a loud scream and i along with a few of the older teens went to check on it while the younger children went to stay in a room just in case there was someone bad here, and when i went to get him, his name was cooper, he was dead, stabbed, this infuriated me, that poor boy had gone through so much and in the next room over i had found the boy who had staged it standing in the corner holding one of the other children in his grasp, i immediately went to defend the innocent child from that horrid teenaged boy but once i had fought him off the child was dead and the rest of the children were terrified." She looked down at her food, remembering that dark night. "Soon after we found a few other children murdered by him. He was sentenced to life imprisonment and ever since then people had been afraid of any other incident like that happening." She said then continued to eat.

Dunkel listened intently throughout, looking at his food sometimes, but mostly at her. When she finished he was silent for a time before speaking. "The child who did it sounds like he has a disorder. Though which, I cannot say. However, if I were in charge, I'd probably sentence him to death. No sense keeping him for that long, where he'll only fester and grow in Insanity. But I digress. Thank you for telling me your story, and you once again have my sympathy. You've been through much."
She lifted her head and forced a smile "oh its not much compared to what ive heard" she said then looked to the entrance of the dinning hall, imagining what it used to be like at this very long very large table, remembering how somedays she would have to cook all day to feed dinner. "Well someday it will be as lively and fun as it used to be"

DUnkel glanced at her and smiled. "I'm sure it will be." He agreed, finishing his meal. "Thank you for inviting me for dinner. It was very good, you're an excellent chef."
