Vires nods. "Alright, Casshern, you lead the way since you have the trail. I'll follow by air. You two; stay safe." He addressed Shen and Fae. Shen nodded slightly and sat down sort of near but not really next to Fae, silent as ever.

Casshern glances at Shen before disappearing into the forest on foot.

Fae grasps his arm and hus it tightly

Shen blinks and looks at Fae as the others disappear after Casshern, Nikita on foot and Vires in the sky. "What?" He asks, still skittish and a bit peeved at a noble touching him. He could get in serious trouble. That and her touch made him... Uncomfortable. The only time he was touched was by the sword of his enemy or one of his brothers-in-arms slapping his shoulder to get his attention.

" I'm sorry..." She whispers, Fae pressig her face into his shirt and trembling

Shen stiffens at her touch and frowns. "Why are you sorry?" He asks curiously and warily at once

" I dunno," she whispers," Am i hurting you?" She was shivering and sweating

He shook his head and hesitantly put a hand to her forehead. Was she cold or something? Why was she shivering so much? And why was she touching him so much?! "Are you cold?" He finally asked simply

She flinches and pulls away, resting her head on her arms and murmuring," I feel like imm burning alive... I don't want to be..." She sighs and whispers,"... A demon.."

At that his frown deepens and he turns away slightly, leaning against the wall. "You get used to it." He said flatly. He already had to deal with being thought of as a demon. Actually being one would make no difference to him.

Fae looks at him and whispers," I'm sorry if that offended you... But... I'm just a human so... I dunno..." She sighs and whispers," I'm weak... I couldn't even kill that stupid boar..."

He glanced at her and sighed. "Why do you talk to me? I'm much lower in status then you, and a freak in society." He finally said after a long moment of silence. If he was angry, his expression didn't show it

" I talk to nobles, I talk to merchants, i talk to commoners, i talk to beggars," she answers and clutches her chest as if in pain," I don't give a damn about your standing in society...

This made Shen looked at her silently, taking in her words. Then There was the faintest curling of his lips, a shadow of a shadow of a smile. But then he looked away and it was gone. "You're different then in that. But why do you keep touching me?"

" I dunno," she suddenly giggles and whispers," maybe demons feel all touchy feely when they turn..."

Here Shen raised an eyebrow. "I've been a 'demon' all my life, and I'm not touchy feely." He replied drily, though his tone seemed a bit amused. An improvement.

She smiles and murmurs," So... How was she?" She asks suddenly

"She?" Shen asked, frowning. What She was Fae talking about?

" Their mother?" She asks softly," Ink? Is she ok..?"

[deepwallow]

Ah. That She. Shen thinks for a moment and then Shrugs. "I think she's dead, but her spirit is here." He said. Ink had seemed... Otherworldly. A part of it and apart from it all at once.

She frowns and murmurs," You know how she died then.... Yes?"
