Shen shook his head, returning to silence. He had been talking a lot lately. How peculiar.... This curse and this girl were starting to affect him. He ran his fingers through his hair with a sigh. Just what was happening to him?

Shen frowned at that. Children of a god. It sounds impossible. Then again, having red eyes should be impossible. Anything could happen really. Shen glanced at Fae again. "You should rest." He said

"... You should too," she counters, clutching her chest

Shen raises an eyebrow at her but leans back. "I'll sleep here." He said, shifting into a more comfortable position to sleep upright against the wall. It didn't look comfortable really

She tilts her head and sits up, chucking a blanket at his faceand wince," Come on, demon... Sleep cofortably,"

Shen grabs the blanket from his face and frowns at her, but he doesn't seem angry. Instead he obeys and lays down, sort of near her and sort of not, curling up in the blanket. It was more comfortable, admittedly, and a bit warmer

She sighs and lies down, falling to sleep rapidly

Blood. So much blood. It was covering him like a second skin, turning him as red as his eyes. There were so many dead around him, but he had never felt so alive! They were his enemies! They had tried to kill him! To kill his friends! But now they lay dead by his hands. His bloody hands. A clapping noise came from somewhere else and he turned to face a strangely dressed man, with half silver and black hair, his eyes an unnatural slit and yellow. "Well done! Well done! Quite a show there! That's why you're my champion! No one would suspect someone as serious as you! Unless they asked me. Then I'd have to tell! Or have to lie. I always get that mixed up. But no matter! Wakey wakey now, boy!"

Shen woke with a start, sitting bolt upright, his red eyes wide. What was that?!

Fae lay nearby, her back restig against his arm. Her red hair spread out likr a sun on the blankets,"..." Her breathig was even but im a dark corner, the helm's red eyes pulsed

Shen glanced down at her once his heart had calmed down. Again with the touching?! He looked at her for a long while before curiousity got the best of him and he reached out hesitantly and touched one lock of her red hair. It looked like flames. He quickly withdrew his hand though

She breathes deeply but doesnt awaken. The helm pulsing in the corner and saring at him with angry eyes, its metallic lips drawn back in a snarl

Finally he looks at the helm and, seeing it glare at him, glares right back, his own red eyes filled up with an unspeakable hatred and terrible the. That was the same curse he had, supposedly. The same person controlling Fae was trying to control him. He curled his own lips into a snarl, unaware that his teeth were now sharp, like a shark's.

Fae slowly awakens, her eyes opening, she sees him... But she doesnt recoil

Shen notices her awakening and returns his face to neutral, turning away from her and shifting away. "It was glowing again." He stated simply, rolling onto his side facing opposite of her

She blinks and murmurs softy," I think.. Xit's trying to control me again... I can't feel anything anymore," she whispers

There was silence before he replied with a simple "that's good" and lapsed back into silence. So much chatter. This was so unlike him. And all the bloody touching. And all the blood period. Who was that man in his dream. And champion of what? Shen was no champion. He was a monster, a devil.

Fae blinks and whispers,"... Are you ok?"

Shen rubbed his face with one hand. "Fine." He said, though he obviously wasn't. However, there was no way he'd admit that.
