Compared to his older brother, Dane was te oddity. He was born blind, never having been able to see anything but black. Despite that, he was a history buff and was getting ready to go to college with an acedemic scholarship... He was gentle with the patience of a saint and always had a sense of humor... Though he got alot of shit for being blind.. He had yet to know of his Brother's ambition...

Dane sat in the shade of a tree in a park near their home, his seeing eye dog, Thor the doberman lay nearby as he ran his fingers over the brail of a book.. Some east siders were eyeing him but Thor kept them away..

Dominick walked up to his brother. Conflicting emotions played across his face. Distain and affection warred for a place. He couldn't understand how he, the complete opposite of his brother, could still love the younger boy. And yet he did, with all his heart. Dane was probably the only thing that he loved. He felt a fierce need to protect him, to make sure he got everything he wanted. He stood there for a moment, waiting for Dane to notice him. Either he had heard him approach, or Thor would let him know.

Thor raised his head and made a soft 'Roo..' Sound that was a mix etween a howl and a woof.

Dane blinks and opens his bright blue eyes," Dom? That you?" He chirps, a small smile playing on his lips

"Hey, Dane," Dom said. "How are you doin'?" He wasn't sure what to do with his brother. In a few days, the gang would be at war with the Easts and the Wests, and he was worried Dane would be caught in the middle of it. He couldn't let that happy. He had to ship his brother off somewhere so he wouldn't get hurt.

" i'm alright... What about you?" He smiles and chuckles at his big brother's clumsiness in conversation. He reaches out and find's his brother pant leg and squeezes it with a slight smile

Dom didn't answer for a few seconds. Then he said, "I want you out of the city, Dane. It's gonna get real ugly here soon."

Dane pauses, his smile fading as he grips his big brother's leg,"... What's that supposed to mean?" He asks quietly, his voice soft.

Thor sneezed and stared up at Dane with big eyes

Dom stared at some of the people passing by. "The gangs. There's going to be a war soon. And I don't want you in the middle of it."

" Are you kidding me Dom?" Dane sighs quietly and leans back against the tree, wincing when he smacks his head slightly," Oof... I've always been in trouble, Big bro, ever since my eyes up and failed," He grins playfully

Dom grimaced. "Exactly. I don't want you getting in more trouble."

He raises his right hand as if giving a pledge," I promise not to do drugs, drink alcohol, let Thor kill anyone, etc, etc," he drawls with sarcasm. Thor makes a soft woofing sound as if agreeing

Dom gave an exasperated sigh. "You know that's not what I meant," he said.

Dane smirks slightly and leans back again," Just be the bandit of the story then, wear a mask, steal from the rick give to the poor and stay away from the house... But i'm not leaving,"
