Bella shrieked again and covered her eyes. When she opened them again, the wardrobe still had eyes. "Impossible," she whispered.

[Grayzers]

"Honey I'm gonna need you to stop with all that fussin. It's stressin me out." She huffed. "I ain't gonna hurt you."

[ᴄʀʏsᴛᴀʟғʀᴏsᴛ]

"You're... you're a wardrobe," Bella said dumbly.

[Grayzers]

"Technically I'm a woman. Now I'm a wardrobe. Unfortunately." She replied.

[ᴄʀʏsᴛᴀʟғʀᴏsᴛ]

"What on earth does that mean?" Bella asked, bewildered.

[Grayzers]

"I'm under a curse. Everyone in this castle is under a curse. Except for you." She said.

[ᴄʀʏsᴛᴀʟғʀᴏsᴛ]

"A curse that turned you into a wardrobe?" Bella said. The words sounded utterly ridiculous.

[Grayzers]

"All except the master were turned into inanimate, animated objects." She replied evenly.

[ᴄʀʏsᴛᴀʟғʀᴏsᴛ]

"And he was turned into... that." Was she actually starting to accept this as truth? It seemed ridiculous.

[Grayzers]

"Unfortunately, yes." She murmured. "The curse began, because a witch came here, seeking shelter from the rain. She was ragged and fowl looking, so he turned her away, also because she could pay him nothing but a lovely rose. Once he turned her away, she transformed into a beautiful fairy, and she cursed him for being so rude and selfish."

[ᴄʀʏsᴛᴀʟғʀᴏsᴛ]

"Great. So I'm being held hostage by a rude and selfish man," Bella muttered. "Why were you guys cursed, too?"

[Grayzers]

"The whole castle was. He is our master. And he has tried to change his ways. He grew up with everything he wanted. He didn't know kindness. So you cannot be so quick to judge."

[ᴄʀʏsᴛᴀʟғʀᴏsᴛ]

"Why did he take me?"

[Grayzers]

"Curiosity perhaps. He hasn't seen a human in years." she said. "Don't think about it too much dear. There is one reason he may have brought you here, but it is not to hurt you. I promise. You should probably change and eat dear." she said softly.

[ᴄʀʏsᴛᴀʟғʀᴏsᴛ]

"I just want to go home," Bella whispered. It sounded whiney, but it was true.

[Grayzers]

"There's no getting out of this castle. Not unless Master wants you to. That's one of the curses doings." She said. "But, there's no point in being so down."

[ᴄʀʏsᴛᴀʟғʀᴏsᴛ]

"I'm stuck here, with a strange man... or beast, or whatever he is. And there's no need to be so down?"

[Grayzers]

"I said there's no /point/ dear. Who is it going to help? Certainly not yourself." She said.

[ᴄʀʏsᴛᴀʟғʀᴏsᴛ]

"Is that supposed to make me feel better?" she asked softly.

[Grayzers]

"You may take iitit however you like dear, but buck up and be a survivor, not a crybaby." She said. "Master will not hurt you. You've nothing to fear."
