"Hmmm.... No, red." Sheo said, snapping his fingers and changing the whole forest to become a blood red. Then he scratched his chin. "Er.... Maybe black." He said, once again snapping his fingers and changing the scenery to completely black. Sheo looked around approvingly. "Yes! This will do nicely! Now for some ghost grass!' He said, snapping his fingers as the grass then changed into long, milky white stalks that seemed to flow in their own breeze. Sheo chuckled and snapped his fingers, changing the sky to a blood red. "Perfect. A much better improvement." he said with a chuckle. "Now if only I had some random hero...." he mused
There was a soft intake of breath as a figure paused mid-step nearby. The forest changed in front of this person, the colors off and unnatural. A slim, pale hand came up and tucked a strand of pale white hair behind his ear.
The figure was male, but unless you looked closely, he looked distinctly feminine. Especially from a distance. The young man looked around the forest in wonder, pale blue eyes wide.
Sheo turned, hearing something. then his eyes settled on the feminine boy. "AH HA! A hero for our epic journey!!!! Come here then, hero!!! It's time to slay the princess, rescue the dragon! Or die trying." Sheo said with a dark tone and chuckle, snapping his fingers. Suddenly the boy was flung toward Sheo and he grabbed him by the scruff of his neck. "So! Ready to be a hero?" Sheo asked with a grin
The boy gasped and struggled against Sheo's grip, "Wh-what are you talking about?" He asked, looking panicked. His tone was sweet and high, pale blue eyes darting around. Hero? Princess? Dragon? He had no idea what this stranger was rambling about!
Sheo laughed. "Why! Don't be scared hero! If you're so nervous in your skin, I'll give you a new one!" He said, dropping him. Then he tapped his chin and looked at the boy. "Hmmm... I know! A wolf!" He said, and then snapped his fingers. SLowly, the boy started to change, his face turning into a snout, his legs and arms shifting and a tail growing as he turned into a pure white wolf with the same paleblue eyes. Sheo laughed again. "Much better! Now, run along little wolf hero! I'll give you a hint, find the wolf pack with the red wolfleader! If you're lucky, she may accept you and not kill you! Good luck!" He said before snapping his fingers and disappearing. Just then, a howl came from somewhere in the distance.
The boy-now-wolf gave a pitiful whine, clumsily getting to his paws. Why was this happening? What was he supposed to do? Find this wolfpack...His ears perked up at the howl and he headed toward it cautiously.
The sound of thumping on the ground could be here like a large group of people running. Suddenly a wolf leapt out and landed in front of him, growling. Several more came out, encircling the poor boy, all growling and regarding him warily. Finally, a large auburn she-wolf emerged and looked at the boy-now-wolf with narrowed eyes. "WHo are you and give me one good reason you're in my territory before I rip out your throat." She growled, the boy understanding her
He cowered way, though there was no where to go because of the wolves circling him, "No, please, I don't even understand why I'm here. Some guy turned me into a wolf and ran away!"
The red wolf looked at him with a confused look. A pitch black wolf next to her whispered to her. "Maybe he's crazy?" He said. She looked at him with a raised eyebrow before looking back at the boy-turned-wolf. "A human? I don't see or smell one here. Who are you, and how did you really get here? Are you lost or something?" She asked. "WHeres his pack?" One wolf asked
"M-My name is Aloysius," the white boy-wolf barked, his ears flattening against his head. Did they really just think he was a wolf? "Please- I'm not a wolf! I'm a human! I was just taking a walk when this guy attacked me!"
All the wolves looked at him like he was crazy. The pitch black wolf turned to the red one. "What should we do? He's obviously mad." He said. The she-wolf though for a bit before sighing. "We'll take care of him until either he starts making sense or his pack finds him." She replied. Then she looked at Aloysius. "Well then... Aloysius, you can come with us for now until your pack can get you. It's not safe here since Brushburn is out and about. We were on our way home. Will you join us?" She asked, her pack already on the more.
"My..pack?" Aloysius blinked in confusion, "B-But I'm not a wolf! And who's Brushburn?" Of course, he didn't want to be left out in the forest by himself like this, so he started after them.
"Brushburn is a bear." One wolf said. "One of the worst of em too. He likes to kill anyone who gets in his way." Another added. The red wolf nodded. "He comes out later, but doesn't dare get near our den. So that's the safest place." She said. They kept going for a while before arriving at a cave right next to a small waterfall and stream. other wolves were there, elderly ones and young pups who raced up to the approaching group eagerly. The red wolf smiled as they pounced on her. The pitch black wolf went to Aloysius. "You'll stay with us but near the mouth of the cave since you're not actually part of the pack." He said commandingly, but not meanly.
Aloysius looked at the male wolf and nodded quickly, "R-Right..um..thank you!" he barked. Where had that guy gone? Was he really going to be stuck like this?
the pitch black wolf nodded. "My name is Shalaz by the way." He added before moving off into the cave. "Alright everyone! Bed time!" The red wolf said. Everyone moved in, most of them moved very far in. The pups looked at Aloysius curiously but kept going, guided by their mothers.
She looked down at him with an amused smile. "At my pack's den, remember? We found you in the woods? Please tell me you're not that mad." she half-teased
