Mira made a mad dash toward the unconscious guardian. She frantically searched through his suit, trying to find his silver stake. She found it tucked into a special pocket in the inside of his jacket. Then she turned, stake in both hands, trying to call up every ounce of courage and training she had.

Colton was currently dodging attacks from the Strigoi. He was lucky that he could move swiftly because his opponent was fast- scarily so.

[ᴄʀʏsᴛᴀʟғʀᴏsᴛ]

Mira took a deep breath and then ran up to the Strigoi from behind. She shoved the stake through his back, aiming for his heart. The Strigoi roared in pain, but he didn't die. Instead, he whirled around and yanked the silver stake out of his back. Then he shoved it into Mira's stomach.

Colton's eyes widened as he watched the stake pierce Mira's stomach, "S-Simira!" He yelled in both horror and surprise.

[ᴄʀʏsᴛᴀʟғʀᴏsᴛ]

Mira looked down at the blood soaking her shirt in shock. She remained on her feet only for a second before collapsing to the ground, stake still in her abdomen. The Strigoi turned, ready to murder Colton next, when another spike poked out through his chest. Doru stood behind him, a second stake in his hand. This time, the stake had actually pieced the monster's heart.

Colton stared at the Strigoi for a second before bolting over to Simira. She couldn't die, not like this!

[ hmm...I forget, how exactly do spirit users powers work? ]

(Well, I think most of the things spirit users do, they do on accident. All he has to do really is touch her and wish her back to life)

"Mira!" Dima shouted, his voice hoarse. He ran over and knelt down beside Colton, his eyes wide with disbelief. "No. No, not like this. Mira, you can't die on me!" He gripped her shoulders and bent his head, tears streaming down his face. "Please. Please."

Out of pure instinct, Colton reached out and touched Mira's cheek gently, closing his green eyes, "Mira, no. Come back to us.."

[ᴄʀʏsᴛᴀʟғʀᴏsᴛ]

One second Mira's breathing was non-existent, her heart was still, and the next she gasped and reached out, grabbing Colton's hand that touched her face. Frantically, Dima leaned forward and touched her cheek, her forehead, brushed back her hair. "Mira, are you okay? Can you hear me?"

The Moroi exhaled sharply and opened his eyes, looking down at her, "Mira.." he whispered in disbelief before a smile broke out on his face.

[ᴄʀʏsᴛᴀʟғʀᴏsᴛ]

"Stop staring at me like that, you dolts," Mira whispered, her eyelids fluttering. "I'm fine."

Colton laughed, "Don't scare us like that again, alright? It's not cool."

[ᴄʀʏsᴛᴀʟғʀᴏsᴛ]

"Mmm," Mira murmured. She sat up slowly, a moan escaping her lips. "Ugh, what happened. I feel like crap."

Colton glanced at Dima for a second before he cleared his throat, "Simira..you were stabbed. The Strigoi, it stabbed you with the stake."

[ᴄʀʏsᴛᴀʟғʀᴏsᴛ]

"Oh," Simira said meekly. "How am I okay, then?"

"I have an..idea," Colton frowned, "I hadn't yet settled on a power. But, um, I think I just did.."

[ᴄʀʏsᴛᴀʟғʀᴏsᴛ]

Both Dima and Mira stared at him blankly for a second, and then Dima's eyes widened. "You mean... Spirit?" he whispered the word, as if it were blasphemy or something. Little was known about Spirit still, and it scared a lot of people.

Colton pursed his lips and gave them a curt nod, "I could be wrong though. I don't know much about it.."

"Well, if you saved my life," Mira said, "I bow down to you, good sir."

"Please no," Colton grimaced, shaking his head, "Don't say anything like that."
