"How about we go to the Santa Monica pier?" he asked not really thinking about it before but there was plenty to do, and they were only a twenty minute drive away from there.

Sena's eyes lit up. "Sounds great," she said. "Just let me change and then we can go."

Derrick nodded "Alright, where do you want me to wait?" he asked

"Wherever you want," Sena said with a shrug. She wandered over to the stack of clothes sitting on a chair.

Derrick sat on the couch putting his ankle over his knee and resting his head on the back of the couch.

Sena changed quickly into more casual clothes and then rejoined Derrick.

Pulling her into his arms he squeezed her tightly "I really missed you." he sighed content to be with his best friend.

Sena rested her cheek on his chest and smiled. "I missed you, too. You know I did."

Derrick pulled himself away and let his arms slide down to her hands "You ready?" he asked holding her hands in his and wearing an excited smile.

"Ready," Sena replied with a grin. She tugged him toward the door, waving goodbye to her team as they left. Most of them grinned at the two of them like idiots.

Derrick let himself be pulled by her, also waving goodbye to everybody as if he knew them "My car?" he asked unsure whether she drove here or was picked up.

"Yeah," Sena said. "My bus will figure out that I'm not coming back."

Derrick opened her door for her, of course, and then got in on the drivers side. Once she was buckled in, and so was he, they shot out of the parking lot hitting traffic as soon as they were out, "Aw man." he muttered, "Maybe I can get around." he said mostly to himself as he turned down a little side street. He knew LA quite well and getting to Santa Monica wouldn't be very hard from here.

Sena leaned back in her seat, content to just be in the car with him for now. She didn't care that they were stuck in traffic. "What have you been up to?" she asked. "I mean, other than what the tabloids have been raving about?"

Derrick chuckled and smiled at her "Oh well they know everything." he joked, "But not much. I've been so busy with filming. I've been on a few dates, none worked out for me. I don't know why I just don't feel very interested."

[ᴄʀʏsᴛᴀʟғʀᴏsᴛ]

Sena had been asked out on dates--all the time, actually--but she turned down all of them. She didn't think it would be fair to herself to force herself into going out with someone when she knew it wouldn't work out. "That's too bad," she said casually, a complete lie. Maybe if he realized no one else was right, he'd finally see that she'd been waiting for him all along.

"None of them were as cool as you are." he chuckled lightly elbowing her, "Or as pretty." he said that on a more serious note. Once he was out of the traffic they got there in 15 minutes. He paid for parking and pulled into the lot. There wasn't very many people there anymore since it was 11 pm.

Sena's heart fluttered at those words, but she pushed down her hope and just smiled at him. "Aww, thanks, Derrick."

Derrick just smiled at her his eyes shining, he always looked so happy. "I hope you're hungry." he said before getting out of the car and opening her door for her. He took her hand and helped her out not letting go as he closed her door and locked the car.

"Not as hungry as you, I'm sure," Sena laughed, knowing very well that, as a teenage boy, Derrick was almost always hungry. And very hungry, at that.
