He took off most of his garments except for his pants, they stayed. He slept for a little while until his mother commanded he got up. When she did he got up and put on a clean white button up t-shirt, he did his hair like he normally did and walked out to meet his mother, angry, tapping her foot, we will only be five minutes early now."she said, very upset.
Daesatra was already in the dining hall by this point, seated by her fathers right hand. She was wearing a beautiful sky boue dress and her hair was curled in ringlets that reached her back. She wore a pearl diadem which draped on her head elegantly and she sat with perfect posture, awaiting the arrival of the two royals.
He was forced to wear a crown, the queen always kept her crown on, a diamond tiara like thing. Her dress was long, green, single strapped. He escorted his mom, wearing the royal golden fur cloak and sat on the opposite side, the queen at the head.
(The king was supposed to be at the head lol xD I didn't make that clear, did I? But I suppose there are two heads of the table. )
Dae watched him sit, then glanced at her father. King Peter stood and bowed just slightly to the queen, then sat again. Dae did not make much movement but when te first course was served- a light, broth-based soup, she took only a few sips with her spoon and then awaited the next course with no attempt at conversation
The next course was a small chicken breast marinated in lemon zest and juice and seasoned with something tangy and delectable. Daesatra ate a bit more of this than she had the soup, but didn't eat the whole thing. She still refused to talk, and looked desperately at her father for guidance. He didn't even look at her.
The princess looked back at him, her steely green eyes looking almost grey in the dim light. She grit her teeth in a most unladylike manner and sat up straighter.
Another course came a moment later, and this time it was a lovely casserole of beef. This was the main course, so Daesatra took a roll and some other sides on her plate.
Daesatra slowly finished her food even though she wasn't hungry. She patted her mouth with a red cloth napkin and turned to her father, waiting for a rift in their conversation to come along. "Father, may I please be excused?" The king pondered a moment and then nodded. "Good evening, Daesatra." Her face fell; he never called her anything like 'dear' or 'sweet' anymore. Not even Dae. She straightened up and left the table, walking purposefully towards the door. Tears nearly spilled over her eyes but she rushed up to her apartment before they did.
Dae was sitting in her apartment, letting the tears spill over on her face. She was silent though- crying by herself for years had made her be quiet about it.
"Fine, if you wont, just tell me how your feeling." He said, because he didnt want her to say she was fine when she wasnt, he hated when people did that.
