There was a thief running about the shining town of Venice, cloaked with the darkness of the night.

The thief was a she. She was also a skilled spy, and occasionally, an assassin.

Her name was Alana Marie Willingston, and she was a young fifteen years of age.

She was dressed in all black, a beanie over her head, hiding her hair.

Her steps were light, quick, breezy.

Don't catch me, don't catch me, don't catch me...

Another thief fell into step beside her. In the fashion of the Venice thieves, her face was painted with black designs, a delicate swirling pattern, though it was hard to see in the dark. "Nice night, huh?" she said. She hardly sounded out of breath.

"Mhm. Sure it is." Her accent was thickly Italian, and her body moved just a bit quicker.
"Why are you here?"

Alana ducked under a bridge and felt her heartbeat in her throat.
"I'm going for food first. After food is a ruby. Got that clear?" She shoved away from the wall.
She was a boss, a badass, almost a master thief.
Her power - hidden.
She could cloak herself in shadows, darkness, mist, with a simple incantation.
She hadn't "activated" - that was the term the other thieves used for it - it yet, but it was almost time.
