(How about... Beautiful Creatures? Seen/read those? I just want some reviews on them so I know how they are. I've watched the movie, but I want to read the books.)
"Jacob, this is MacAllister Booke, but you can just call him the Librarian - his talent is books, logic, intelligence." Elena smiled softly. "And he is gifted with flight by wings."
The man stood. He was tall - 6'9", to be precise - and lanky, long and lean with muscle corded through. His wings were ebony, looking more like bat wings with layered feathers than anything else. "Hello." He extended a hand. The voice was deep, rolling and smooth with an edge of harshness of an accent - British, maybe Australian. It could be called a 'whiskey voice'.
"And you as well. Now, tell me what you want." Booke sat back down in his chair, seemingly endless legs folded casually in front of him. Elena took the chair beside him.
Jacob stood slowly and turned around, his back facing him. He unfurled his wings gracefully, the sun hitting the tawny, fawn-colored feathers beautifully.
"Aalayah and Jeremiah Thorne." He stood abruptly and bolted inside, randomly searching through papers, books, folders. He found the ones he was looking for, a feral, furious look on his face. "Aalayah, twenty-seven when she disappeared. Had a son she called James, tawny wings. Jeremiah, thirty-two when he disappeared. They were mates. BOth Air users, but Aalayah was the Princess to the Air throne."
"Shut up!" He turned his gaze to Jacob before flicking his eyes back to the books, the papers, ruffling through them. "Most recent report on Aalayah is that she's still missing. They think she's somewhere South, somewhere her powers can't call her. Jeremiah - no one's seen him since he disappeared. How old are you?"
"Don't take offense. Booke is extremely.. Focused, and anyone interrupting or saying something without him asking them a question first always interrupts his flow, which can damage the entire case." Elena said quietly.
He held up a picture. A small boy with fawn wings, a woman with white wings, a man with black wings much like Booke's were in the picture. The child was cradled in the woman's arms. "This is your family."
Elena replied. "Though your mother was a princess, her and your father's Clan was almost extinct. They weren't aware of her disappearance until I was captured, and by that point, no one thought they were alive."
