"Very nice control there." She noted dryly. "This is an ancient right preformed by your ancestors, Jacob. It'd be best for you to respect it, if not believe in it."
She crouched by him again, lit candle in her hand. She started to murmur words. "Ancient Divine, I call to you. My element is Air, masculine and true. Thought, clarity, rationality come to me, but I wish to learn and grow. So show me the light in this dim night, and show us the way to your might." A wind started to whip around them, ruffling Hewa's curling hair and causing her lips to curl into a smile. "Divine, Divine, I call to thee! My element is Air, Air of thought and rationality. I wish to learn and grow, so show me the light in this dim night, and show us the way to your might!"
Soon enough, they were in a meadow that smelled of incense. A woman stood in the center, a man at her back. "Hewa." "Momma!" Hewa dropped to her knees in front of the woman, hugging her waist. "Yes, it is me. Who have you brought?" The woman stroked a hand through Hewa's pale gold curls and gazed at Jacob with startling amethyst and silver eyes.
The woman had dark, dark hair - dark enough to look like a raven's wings, shining with different shades of blue and purple. "Hello." She raised a slender eyebrow and full pink lips titled into a smile. Dimples flickered in her cheeks.
Her hair was done in tight curls, some piled into a ponytail that spilled over a strong, muscular-looking shoulder that was decorated with tattoos. She stepped away from Hewa, the man following her steps. She squared Her shoulders and lifted Her head, lifting an eyebrow at him.
"I am Queen. Some call me an Elder, some call me Divine - but no matter, I am Queen." She inhaled slowly, chest rising and falling with the cleansing breath. "This is my Consort, the King. Most call us Momma and Papa - and we are a joined pair. You will address us with respect, if you would like the knowledge you seek."
The man lifted large, rough-looking hands and rested them lightly on Her shoulders, giving them a soft squeeze. His eyes were dark, dark brown, His black hair tied into a low ponytail at His neck. He looked very Native American - sculpted cheekbones, almond-shaped eyes, full, feminine lips that didn't match the harsh contrast of His face. Thick eyelashes and a broad nose. He was clearly muscular, taller than the woman by at least a foot, towering over Her though She radiated power and command. His power was more... Shadowed, warmer and softer than Hers.
(Just so you know, the capital h's are intentional, not typos.)
(No, I know. I'm a Christian and the proper way to write God if you are being respectful is He, His, etc.)
Jacob nodded. "Y-yes, ma'am. Well, ah... my name is Jacob and.. I'm looking for my parents," he said haltingly, slightly nervous. "I didn't know anywhere else to go but here and I was told that you could help me find my parents... My name is Jacob," he repeated out of his nervousness.
(Thank you for understanding. This is actually part of my religion, so...)
Her lips tilted into a small smile. Just a hint of one. "Thank you."
The man spoke behind her, hands now kneading Her shoulders. "Jacob. A strong name. I am willing to share the information if my Lady is so willing. But you must understand - this doesn't come freely. There is a balance that we must continue to take into account."
