Serena hesitated, before jogging after Alianna. "I said I would be beside you during this journey, facing off to Death is no exception," she said stubbornly, her head raised.
Alianna smiled. "Thank you, friend. I have a strategy. We need to alert the king and he can get the guards assembled- then we attack Threuss with me on the front lines to protect as many lives as possible."
Serena grimaced. "Do you think he'll believe us?" She slowly asked, glancing behind her shoulder, like she expected somebody to pop out suddenly and scare her. "We are just lowly servants, remember?"
"I have a feeling that when it comes to his son he won't hesitate to go to extreme measures to get him back," she said with a nod. "We wouldn't say this just for kicks."
She swallowed, taking a deep breath. "Alright, if you think that it's a good thing to get a king involved, I won't try and deter you from it; you can be quite stubborn when it comes to this." She managed a weak smile.
"We will," Alianna murmured. When they reached the entrance, Alianna swiftly owned it and looked around. Nobody was in the kitchen so she hopped out of the passageway and walked towards the way to the kings bedroom- she had had to clean it once so she knew where it was.
Serena followed after her, looking behind her shoulder, swallowing every now and then. This was not where she wanted to be right now; scared and creeping down a dark hallway. As they reached the king's room, her servant frown worriedly. "Er...how should we say we're here?" She asked, rubbing the back of her neck.
The king grumbled under his breath and walked over to the door, dressed only in underwear. "What, what, what?" he yelled, opening the door. Alianna blinked. "Your Highness, hush! Your son and daughter-in-law are captured by an evil man- assemble your guards!"
The queen sprung to her feet, her hand flying to her mouth. "M-my Abaet is missing?!" Her voice was a loud screech, as she grabbed onto her husband's arm. "No, no, no," she moaned, covering her face with her hands, "get someone out there! Save my son!"
"Ma'am, you must be quiet! It is imperative that you remain quiet. We will save your son as long as we assemble the guards." The king took his wife's hand and nodded. "Do what you must. The guards sleep in the barracks, down the hall and take a right."
