Aleksandra would call out advice or taunts mid fight as the two novices sparred, with things like "keep your arms up!" Or "stop dancing around each other!" Eventually she called a halt when it was obvious the two were too tired to continue. "Rest up, scrubs." She said before looking over the line of recruits. "You" she said, pointing to another nameless recruit. She continued looking before her eyes landed on Jenna and she gave a faint but impish smile. "You." She said, jerking her head in the direction of the platform
Jenna gritted her teeth, though stood up straighter. She pushed her way through the crowd and hefted herself up to the platform. She took the left side, jumping from foot to foot. She didn't know why she was picked, though if it meant actually moving around and not just standing somewhere, she would love to.
"Same rules as before. Begin now" Aleksandra said, not missing a beat. The other recruit, a short but stout guy, gulped and got into a fighting position, shuffling towards Jenna hesitantly. His stance was bad, with many weak points, but decent for a beginner. He kept up his slow crawl towards Jenna, watching her warily
This guy didn't look too hard to beat, but even still, no one should underestimate their opponents. She let out a breath, before taking her stance. Jenna jumped back, before dropping into a low crouch. She swiped her leg on the ground, using her fingertips to keep herself up.
The boy blinked at her in faint surprise before stumbling back away from her to avoid her legs, but he was off balance (I'm assuming she tried to sweep his legs out from under him xD). Aleksandra raised an eyebrow at this
(Yeppers! I guess I should've been a little more descriptive. )
Jenna sprang to her feet, bringing her fist back. She aimed an uppercut towards his gut; her style of fighting was hitting the opponent hard and fast, to not let them have a chance to recover. Unfortunately, if they managed to dodge a lot of her attacks, she would become fatigued quite quickly.
Luckily for her, this was effective against novices, especially lumbering ones like her opponent now. The uppercut landed successfully and he let out a surprised grunt as he stumbled even further back. He recovered quickly though and threw out a swinging punch from his right arm, throwing a lot of his power behind it as he tried to nail her
She brought up a hand to stop the punch, though she was caught off guard by the power behind it. Letting out a hiss of pain, Jenna ducked down to avoid getting hurt even further. Clenching her jaw to suck up the pain, she shot behind him, using her small stature to sneak around him. She shoved her foot towards him, hoping to shove him to the ground.
It worked since the momentum of his swing shook his balance even further. He fell with a Loudthud of bone hitting stone and a painful grunt left him as he fell. He glanced at Aleksandra, but she only raised an eyebrow at him. Takig that as a sign to continue, he rolled to the side and started getting up quick as he could
They were still continuing? Jenna's eyes widened for a second, before narrowing. Fine, fine. She would keep attacking, though her mind kept coming back to the aching pain of her hand. Gritting her teeth, she lashed her foot out towards his face.

The poor kid took it straight and fell backwards again with a loud yelp. Blood ran out of his nose now, but it wasn't broken. "Alright, alright, enough now." Aleksandra said suddenly, chuckling faintly. "You," she said, pointing at the bloody boy, "head to the infirmary. They'll patch you up." He ordered. He nodded and got up while holding his nose, walking of te platform and leaving. Aleksandra nodded to Jenna. "Good job. Take a rest. Now then..." She trailed off, looking over te remaining recruits

Jenna let out a short breath, her shoulders rising and falling. She had won, surprising. Nodding numbly, she got off the stage, holding her hurt hand against her chest. She leaned against the wall, closing her eyes. Not a bad day's work, not to toot her own horn.

This routine continued for a good amount of time before Chase returned and pulled Aleksandra aside. He talked with her for a bit, and she gave an amused smile before she nodded and walked back over. "Good news, kiddos. We get to play with guns now. Come on and don't lag behind." She said before walking off, her long legs taking her far. The recruits murmured amongst themselves as they hurried to keep up to the red-head's fast pace
Jenna groaned to herself, slowly starting to follow them. Could she even hold a gun, now that her dominant hand was hurt? She sucked on her top lip, wondering how strong she'd be with only her right hand. Grimacing, she curled and uncurled her fingers, frowning down at them.

"You ok?" A familiar voice asked as Steph appeared next to her, glancing down at Jenna's hand. Steph had done well in her fight surprisingly, and her opponent forfeited. "Hurt your hand?"
She let out a snort. "More like my opponent should have been paired up with another person; he's too strong. I almost lost because of my hand," she admitted, grimacing.

"Yeah, but I mean, that's what They're training us to do. To fight all kinds of people, right? You never know if we'll have to fight some giant guy or short one." Steph said. "I got lucky though. Mine was really thin and weak." She said, mentioning her match
Nala sighed. "Right, I'm sure that this'll help," she replied, "when do you really think anyone will attack us?" She crossed her hands over her chest, grimacing and letting out a hiss of pain.

Steph shrugged. "The faction less get rowdy sometimes, and we don't know what's beyond the walls" she said as their group walked up some stairs single-file
