There was a shimmer and a burst of color, like the reflections of rainbows off glass. Through this small rift in space, a young man stepped out onto the grass. He was of average height, around 5'7, with a mop of blonde hair on his head. Flowers and grass were woven between the strands, growing from his head like hair. A pair of vibrant lilac eyes were downcast, watching his feet as he stepped out into the small grassy park clearing. Flowers grew from the ground where his feet touched, sprouting up instantly. His skin was pale white, with a green hue that was almost too faint to notice.
His entire body glowed under the sunlight, absorbing the rays like a plant, getting more vibrant by the second. He took a deep breath and turned his face to the sky. He took a couple deep breaths, the plants that encircled his frame pulsing. He came alive the longer he stayed in the sunlight.
Trace Alandis stretched a pair of delicate wings, as translucent and light as a dragonfly's, behind his back. He felt bad for keeping secrets- he hadn't even informed his best friend of his origin until just recently. It was a huge secret, but it wasn't like the Fey ran around announcing themselves to those who resided in the Human Realm all of the time. He didn't live there permanently, but Trace visited often, much more often than most Fey should.
