With her arms full of cleanly washed clothes and linens, Fatin D'aaria knocked gently on her Lady's chamber door. She was learning quickly how to balance doing many different tasks at once, so the folded clothes did not even wobble in her hands, "Lady Meira?" Fatin called in a soft, hesitant voice.
It was early morning, the sun just rising above the horizon. She'd woken up before sunrise to get a head start on her chores. Fatin found that sleeping in led to her feeling even more tired throughout the day. Her caramel colored hair was braided and fell down her shoulder neatly. She wore one of the usual servant's garb, a simple blue dress that made her tanned skin look even darker. Her face was freshly washed and her hazel eyes watched the door. She listened for any kind of noise in Lady Meira's room.
"I do beg you get up, milady," Fatin continued, "You have another suitor arriving today, just before midday lunch."
A noise came from within before finally Meira came out. Her dark, almost black hair was tousled from sleep, falling across her shoulders and face softly. She was dressed in a simple nightshift, the neck low on her front. It was, all together, quite enticing.
Meira moved the hair out of her eyes and flashed Fatin a brilliant smile. "Hello Fatin. And another suitor, eh? What prank should we pull this time?" She asked, motioning for Fatin to enter
Fatin looked away from Meira, lest her eyes stray anywhere they shouldn't be looking. Her tan skin flushed a little as she passed, heading over to her Lady's dressing wardrobe, "Oh, I don't know. I was never good at pulling pranks on anyone."
She knelt down and began placing the clothes away neatly, tucking them in so that they fit without a crease or wrinkle. Fatin was very particular with her work that way.
Meira laughed heartily and walked over, leaning against Fatin so her chest was pressed against her back and her head was on her shoulder. "Oh really? I find that hard to believe." She teased, her breath tickling Fatin's ear
Meira chuckled. "So dutiful, Fatin. You really need to learn how to loosen up." She purred, her arms snaking around her waist. "And I have just the thing to help." She added with a grin.
Meira giggled slightly, her hands moving. "Which is exactly why you need... This!" She said, taking the shirt she had grabbed from the pile and yanking it over Fatin's head, covering her eyes and head completely as she laughed and hurried away, disentangling from her
Fatin yelped and struggled to free herself from the suffocating shirt, "Lady Meira! I just folded those!" She scolded as she pulled the shirt off her head, a few strands of hair coming loose from the braid and sticking up with static.
Meira had jumped back into her huge circle bed and was hiding under the sheets, but looked out when Fatin spoke. At the sight of her staticky hair, she laughed heartily. "Now there's a sight! Lovely hair there, Fatin." She teased with a smile
"Nice and neat is overrated. Wild and unruly is in now." Meira joked, coming out from under the covers again. "But alright, let me help fix what I've done." She said, striding back over and taking the slightly crooked shirt from Fatin. "This will be easy to smooth out." She mused mostly to herself. "Now, when's that suitor coming today?"
