He gave her a bow, grimacing as he saw that the soot from his clothes had fallen on the ground. "I'm honored at your compliment, my dear lady," he said smoothly, before straightening up. "Tea, if you don't mind, thank you," he quickly added.

She nodded and led him inside and to the living room. She motioned towards the pump couches, "Make yourself at home," she said, before disappearing into the kitchen.
Crispin hesitated for a moment, before slowly settling down on the couch, grimacing as he shifted back and forth. "Sorry about the soot," he called unhelpfully into the kitchen where she stood.

"It's no problem," she called back, placing water in a kettle to boil. Once it was bubbling she poured it into two cups, placing a tea bag in each one. "Honey or sugar?"
He gazed around the room, making sure to note the windows; no matter if this girl seemed nice, he needed to make sure that he knew where to go if he needed an exit. "Honey," he called back, cracking a smile.

She put a teaspoon of honey in both their teas and brought them over to wear he was sitting, she placed his tea cup on the coffee table in front of him and sat down on a plump arm chair.
He murmured his "thank-you", before he gently picked the cup up and brought it to his lips. He gently blew on the top of it, a relaxed smile now appearing, as he saw the steam dance into the air. Crispin took a long sip, humming in the back of his throat, setting the cup on his lap. "Delicious," he finally complimented, "I offer my compliments to the maker."

Crispin nodded seriously. "That did cross my mind," he replied, leaning against the couch, "though I trust that you wouldn't do that." He gave her a wink, a cheerful grin slowly appearing.
He raised his hand in his defense. "Oh that never crossed my mind that you wouldn't," he promised, chuckling. "I just merely believed that you wouldn't kill off one of your guest," he continued, his eyes twinkling.
Crispin rubbed his fingers along the side of his cup, nodding. "Good, good. It would taint your image if I found out you did," he teased, grinning at her.
"Point taken, point taken," he replied with a chuckle. "Though does magic clean up any types of mess?" He asked, rubbing his chin, a mischievous glint in his eyes.
