Mel shrugged, "A mere technicality."

Astra rolled her eyes. "Whatever you say."

(They should be cornered by some younger gang members who strayed into their side of town, looking for some fun)

Mel chuckled when she saw Astra roll her eyes.

(Okay when distinguishing factors should know about this gang? like colors, tattoos/symbols, all male/co-ed, etc...)

(They're co-ed, and they have a dragon as their symbol. All of them have it tattooed on them somewhere to identify themselves)

Down the block from Mel and Astra by the entrance to alleyway, a woman wearing a long-sleeve t-shirt with the sleeves rolled a quarter-way up her arms allowed a dragon tattoo that spiraled up her arm to partially show stood leaning against a brick fence. She watched the pair for a few moments before looking over her shoulder, "Have you seen her around before?" Referring to Mel.

Mel was looking at Astra and didn't notice them.

Reina shook her head. "Never. I've seen that girl at the high school, though; a real north-sider."

[Anime]

Caden crossed her arms over her chest acknowledging Reina's words with a grunt. She remained quiet for a few more moments, "Well, she may dress like a hobo, but it isn't like north-siders to involve themselves with 'lesser individuals'." She concluded, her disgust for the elite seeping into her tone.

Mel looked forward, briefly making eye-contact with Caden, who cast her eyes to the ground. Mel gently touched Astra's arms. "Do you know them?" She motions to Reina and Caden with her eyes.

Astra looked over, a curious look on her face. Then her eyes widened. She'd never seen either of them before, but she'd recognize that confidence anywhere. "They're dragons," she whispered.

"They don't exactly look fear-instilling." Mel commented after studying them for a moment.

"What do you say we welcome the new girl to the neighborhood?" Caden asked, pushing off the wall.

Reina smiled and followed her, a dangerous look in her eyes. Astra stopped walking and grabbed Mel's arm. "Oh, no. They're coming over here."

Caden smirked and strutted over to Mel and Astra, taking delight in the fact Mel didn't know enough about the Dracones to cower. She'd have to give her a greeting that wouldn't be easily forgotten.s

Astra swallowed. "We should really get out of here..."

"Going somewhere?" Reina asked, smirking.

[Anime]

"Clearly--I believe that's the concept of taking a walk..." Mel challenged.

Caden pushed her sleeves further up her arms, revealing more of the dragon tattoo on her right arm. She walked up to Mel and grabbed the collar of her flannel shirt. "Was that sarcasm I detect?" She sneered.

[ᴄʀʏsᴛᴀʟғʀᴏsᴛ]

Astra took a step back, a terrified look on her face. Reina ignored her; she didn't care if the north-sider ran. She was more interested in the new girl.

Mel ignored the question. "What are you going to do? It's broad daylight." She pushed her fear away, as her anger flared.

Caden smiled, a sadistic gleam in her eyes. "Humans aren't indestructible, you see--in fact they can be quite fragile, if you know the right places to target." She pulled the collar of the shirt up, causing Mel to grab Caden's arm. "So, I think the better question is what the hell (should I have used asterisks here?) do you think your doing?"

[ᴄʀʏsᴛᴀʟғʀᴏsᴛ]

(Nah, hell is fine)

"L-leave her alone," Astra said. "We're not even on your territory. And she's right: We're in broad daylight. I could call the police right now and have you arrested for assault."

[Anime]

"You, you're going to call the cops on us?" Caden glanced at Reina, amused by the prospect. "We can make your life a living hell--the police can't be around you twenty-four-seven." She did, however, loosen her grip on Mel's shirt collar.

Mel pushed Caden away and took a step back.

[ᴄʀʏsᴛᴀʟғʀᴏsᴛ]

Astra took a deep breath. "Why are you doing this? We haven't done anything to you?"

[Anime]

"I don't need to explain myself to you." Caden turned to the new girl. "Welcome to town."

Mel watched Caden turn and walk away, speechless.

[ᴄʀʏsᴛᴀʟғʀᴏsᴛ]

Reina sneered at them before following Caden. "What was that?" she asked the other girl. "Not exactly what I call 'fun,' intimidating and running."

Astra let out her breath and glanced at Mel. "Well, that was... terrifying."
