Mel was standing at her door, texting someone on her phone. After a few seconds, she pull the phone in her pocket, pulled out her keys, and unlocked the door. She limped inside and slammed the door shut behind her without looking back.

For the next few days, Mel stayed away from Astra. In passing Mel would make an excuse about job hunting or having to deal with one last thing in regards to the move. However, they never saw each other more than a few minutes at a time. Until Friday came around, she kept herself busy, but with all of the officers closed for the weekend she found herself sitting on her porch watching old videos of her dancing, as she spent most of her time.

Astra was returning from and outing with some of her friends when she saw Mel sitting outside. She hesitated, thinking about just going home, but she changed direction and headed over to her. "Hi, Mel. How have you been?"
