Astra didn't find it amusing what-so-ever. She just grimaced and turned onto their street. Her mother had always told her the same words--'there's always hope'--but sometimes she'd lost faith in that. It was hard, sometimes.

Mel had spent her entire life training to be one thing and to do one thing. She had sacrificed so much to get what she'd wanted and lived her life in a matter that allowed her to achieve that goal. When the ability to continue this one thing was taken from her, she couldn't help but look back at all she'd given up for it and be angry at the hand life had dealt her. She was quiet for a long time before speaking again. "I think I am going to go settle in a bit and rest. It's been a long day." She informs Astra when she spotted her house.
