Here's how it's going to happen

Okay, so here's what been on my mind the past few days. I know I haven't been RPing with you guys, and for that I'm sorry, but I haven't abandoned the site. I'm still here, watching over it. I've been searching for more interesting prizes for our AP Points shop. Since main plots were kind of a bust (no one really participated in them), I've been thinking about making character creation cost points. Not a whole lot, but some. Here's what I'm thinking: As a new member, your first five characters are free. After that, you have to pay. Maybe 100 points, or perhaps 50.

Any thoughts?

I really don't either; I mean, on one hand, moderation on characters is good, but the buying a character seems kinda fuzzy to me.

Just to clarify, if would be... Kinda like buying character slots? Start off with five, and then buy more as you want to make another. Kinda like a server; where you make a new character with a different class, but in this case, it would be a different character with a different club?

Pretty much, yeah. I'm just trying to get people to spend their points. And that way people don't go crazy making characters. It encourages activity, so you can get enough points to make your next character.

That's true. I still am not sure whether or not I like the idea, though, because my question about characters that aren't part of a club wasn't answered.

We've been posting threads on the general board that won't exactly fit in a club and RPing there.

That'd be a good idea. What kinds of things are you roleplaying that don't fit into the clubs?

Uhhhh... I think it's mainly stuff that wouldn't agree with a clubs plot, or wouldn't fit in the club period.

For types of plots there are, it'd be better to skim through them, I think I only have one not in a club myself.

They're really there, in my case, so that I can have more flexibility with the roleplaying, setting, etc.

I think this is a good idea, actually. That way you are basically forced to pick and choose what you really want to participate in, and not just have characters everywhere sitting and not being role-played. Also, if you want a character deleted, there should be a refund type deal, where you get half, or a third, of the creation points back.

I do agree, though, that it would be good for activity. We wouldn't have to pay for all the characters we have already, right?
