The ship swayed forth, the easy waves of the ocean lolling against its sides. Upon the tall mast hung a dark blue flag with an silver gander symbol upon it, its eyes a bright green. It had already let down anchor and docked onto the port of the large city, its passengers meandering around. One in particular though, tailed by an old man and a young child, was walking with a purpose towards the large castle in the cities center. Rubbing his hands together, the old man whisper-yells to the young woman, "Princess Ludere, we should really, really wait for the kings men to come get you at the docks...!"
Raising her head, gloved hands push up a thin set of glasses. Silver hair was stretched back in a small pony tail, the wavy wisps of what couldn't be reigned back framing her face. On her eyes, even brighter than the green painted on the sail, was a set of green eyes. "Oh come on, Dezz, this is the great conqueror, the demon king--you think I can just wait for his dogs to come get me? No thank you, I'm gonna get there early, and get this over with. Maybe he'll just... send me home," Looking back at the castle, she walks through the gates without her entourage, the two having to stay behind since they had no invitation inside the great walls...
Before the girl could get far, a few men wearing crimson uniforms ran after her. "My lady!" one shouted, grabbing her shoulder gently. "We shall accompany you inside- the king requests that you meet him in his private chambers."
She jumps a bit, startled by suddenly being called attention to, "E-eh? Oh, yeah... if, that's where he is and all." She pushes her glasses back up her nose rigidly, "Lead the way then, please," she politely asks. This is for the kingdom--he might just send her back home anyways, nothing to be worried about.
The guard nodded and started walking, nodding at the guard at the front door and it opened. He led the way through many corridors and up many staircases, made with grandeur, until they finally reached an elegant-looking door. The guard respectfully knocked and an adolescent voice replied. "Enter," it said.
She pauses a moment, taking in the voice of her future. Taking in a deep breath, she steps through the door as it opens, and takes a quick look around the room, trying to locate the king. "Ludere Yimir, your majesty," she gets a hold of her voice, projecting it into the room bravely.
A young boy, no older than thirteen, stood. He was clothed in gold and scarlet cloth, a crown on his head. He had golden hair and pale skin, deep blue eyes. He smiled, though it was a cold smile. "Hello, my Lady. I welcome you to my kingdom."
(LOL I just thought of this song and it is perfect for this situation xD )
(omi...rofl! I hadn't seen that one, lord... that was a good one XD I almost started crying cause y lungs hurt... JB... hah!)
Ludere opens her mouth, her hands flying over to muffle her words, the high pitched squeak still making it out, "Holy Goddess--no one said that--" her imaginary ideas, one by one waved bye-bye... and in its place... was a kid. "T... thank you for having me here... your majesty..."
"It is but my pleasure, Lady Ludere. Please, make yourself comfortable," he said gently, smiling. Underneath, he was very nervous. She didn't seem to be reacting badly compared to the other bachelorettes but she could very easily snap.
"Comf~..." her words trail off, and she slowly walks over to a chair. She looks at him hesitantly, then back at the chair before sitting down. "Thank you..." she fidgets, her mind grabbing on loose strings, because she couldn't remember his name! She was sitting in front of the king of the world--a child--and couldn't remember his name!
She puts her hands on her knees, and exhales slowly. "Mm," That's easy enough, "Well... at home I usually garden. I danced a lot, sang a lot, and tried to... sew and stuff. I don't really like it when the air gets dry, and I like the rain."
"What, the gardens? Occasionally. Running the world takes up quite a bit of time, you know," he said with a short, humorless laugh. When they arrived, it was a most beautiful garden.
"Time, huh?" she tilts her head in thought for a moment before looking onto the garden, her green eyes widening, "So pretty," she breathes, her feet carrying her closer to the flowers, "Have you ever seen any of it; the places you control? How beautiful they must be..."
"That's why I chose this to be my capitol," he said proudly. "Look at these roses," he said, gesturing towards a lavish bush with over-the-top buds and blossoms. "I rather think roses are my favorite. But they look a little wilted.. Could you perhaps fix this?"
