"Lets see then..." she kneels down, brushing her skirt down in the back sp it would catch on her shoe, "Mm, poor things, they do look a little neglected... I think a little water would cheer them up, though,"
She fully turns around, and sits up so she could look him in the eyes. She smiles, her eyebrow twitching as she does, "Well your majesty... your flowers are just going to have to continue as they have been." smoothing her skirt, she stands up, "rain calling isn't a parlor trick."
""You... Are just a spoiled brat, aren't you?" she balls her hands up into fists, "For rain calling, I need to see the beauty of this land, to compose the song. Then I need to feel like... Like I can belong to it. Sp far though... I haven't seen, or felt any of that."
The king's face contorted in rage. "How dare you!" he yelled, raising a hand as though to hit her. He thought better of it, though, and gestured to a guard. "Hit her," he said coldly.
She spins on the sole of her shoe, staring down the guard for a moment before directing her glare at the King, "Think about the witch you just gave the order to have hit, you majesty," her lip twitches, "I can do more than make it rain if I wanted."
The king returned her glare coldly. The guard looked at her, seeming genuinely sorry to have to follow the order. He held her shoulder and slapped her twice on the face. Before the king would notice, he leaned down to her ear and whispered, "I am very sorry, My Lady. "
She holds her stinging cheeks, and looks to the ground as the metal frames of her glasses slide down her nose. Carefully reaching up, she takes them off and folds the breakable item closed and puts them in her pocket. Her cheeks remained red, and her green eyes looked like she was ready to cry... But she didn't. Not in front of that brat. "If that's all you wanted, then I'm leaving now."
The king appeared furious but snapped at the guard. "Escort this lady up to her room and keep her there for the rest of the night. You may serve her her supper."
The guard looked at the girl as they walked away. As soon as they were out of earshot, he looked at her. "I am very sorry, My Lady. He doesn't have the best attitude.."
Ludere looks at the guard, and with a small sigh her shoulders say, "I can see that." she rubs her cheek, "Don't think about it too much. If that's what I have to pay to follow my traditions... Then this is nothing."
The guard walked in silence a little. "I would suggest considering using your rain calling as soon as you can- the king is very impatient," he said softly. "But is there any way I can help you?"
"Rain calling... Its used in emergencies. Like fires, or droughts. I don't think, and wouldn't suggest you try to start either of those." Ludere brushes her long silver hair off of her shoulder, "I'll think about it though."
The guard nodded. "I will warn you, though. The king will think of you like a jewel now, precious and very important to keep. You likely won't leave for months, perhaps even years."
