"I can understand that." Reagan stopped in front of the flower shop. "However, I always wondered what it would have been like to be an only child." She paused for a moment. "Yet, once he was gone I regretted ever even thinking that..."
"He was so noisy. We always had to share a room. We were always arguing over something." Reagan smiled. "We had to put up with being compared to each other our entire life, especially in school..." She looked down at the sky. "But he was my brother."
Reagan looked in the mirror at her outfit. With a sigh, she walked back to her closet and rummaged for the smoke-gray button-down that had to be in there somewhere. She dug further into her closet before pulling the shirt out triumphantly. She carefully rehung the shirt she had just tried on before shrugging on the one she had just found.
She was so nervous. First dates weren't really her thing--scratch that, dating in general wasn't her thing. In fact, she had just gotten around to repairing the hole the last woman that she'd tried to start a relationship with caused--Reagan counted her blessings that the iron had collided with the wall opposed to hitting her.
Reagan shook her head and went through the mental checklist that she'd created to ensure that she'd done everything in preparation for tonight. After she was sure everything was ready, she grabbed her car keys and headed to finish the last few details.
