"I..." Dani hesitated, then decided to suck it up. "I guess you could stay at my house."

Ixom looked startled, though he grinned widely. "I thank you for that miss...?" He gave her a sweeping bow, before pausing, not knowing her name.

"Daniela," she answered. "And don't thank me so soon. You might regret deciding to take me up on the offer."

He tilted his head to the side, confused. "Any place other than getting on the wrong side of the coppers is fine by me," he mused, putting his hands behind his back and rocking on his heels.
