Chase walked into the kitchen and a few seconds later walked out with a pan of lasagna in his oven mitted hands. He looked a bit silly as he carefully made his way to the table wearing the mits and his eyes a bit wider than usual.

Sapphire sat quietly in her seat, staring at him. He looked gorgeous and silly and adorable all at the same time.

After he set down the pan he fell into his seat with a satisfied sigh. When his aunt sat down he began cutting it and served the three of them. Not saying a word the entire time, just smiling to himself.

Sapphire couldn't help but stare at him. He was even cuter when he smiled. Adorable, really. It wasn't that cocky smile she was used to, either. This was something else, something more real.

Chase sat in a chair across from his bed looking thoughtfully at Sapphire, "I know this all must seem a bit odd to you.." he started off clasping his hands together and leaning forward. "There is just a lot going on in my life and I'd rather not discuss the details of it all. But you're the first person I've ever invited over to any place I've lived, and it's weird. Like.. What do we do?" he chuckled slightly, he was a different guy than anyone at school knew. He spoke almost eloquently and less harsh than usual but still had that same wall that no one could get past, except his aunt of course. Yes, he was tough and can handle anything thrown at him because that was how he had to be since day one but there was more to him, more than he was willing to let show.

Sapphire gave a nervous laugh. "Yeah, I know. Kind of awkward... right?"

"Sorry," he grinned and shook his head in amusement, "What do you want to do?" he asked

Sapphire fell silent, thinking. "Well... do you like card games?"
