Reid muttered unintelligibly under his breath, though he raised his hand, his wand shaking slightly. "Incendio!" A burst of fire flew out of his wand, licking the ground, as the room got hotter with each second. A wild smile appeared on his face, as he momentarily forgot what had happened. He flicked it, trying to make it disappear, though the fire only burned brighter. His smile fell and fear appeared. "I- I can't stop it!" He yelped, his throat constricting.

Easily, Emilaya cast a water spell and the room dimmed and settled down to a cooler temperature. "And that's what happens when you have too much fire."
"You'll never know the endless nights, the rhyming of the rain."
He let out a stifled gasp, as steam rose, fogging up his glasses. He stumbled backwards, loosing his grip on his wand, sending it clattering to the ground. "I guess I owe you one, huh?" Reid managed to say, his voice strained, as he wiped his glasses on his robes.
He scrambled to his feet, eyeing his wand warily, as if worried fire would come bursting out again. "Well, if you need anything, just tell me," Reid said, glancing away from his wand to look up at her.
He looked as startled as before and he blinked rapidly, as if she was just an illusion. "Er...wait, what? But why?" He asked, not against it, per say, just confused.
Reid shifted his weight from foot to foot, hesitating for a bit. Finally he strode over to her, he needed only a couple of strides, his legs were so long. He looked a bit embarrassed, as he neared her, his confidence faltering. "Er...I've never...um...k-kissed anybody before," he finally said, wincing at his stuttering, "so...er...sorry if this isn't the best-" He cupped her cheeks in his palms, before hesitantly kissing her.

Emilaya's lips looked firm, but they weren't. They were incredibly soft, gently softening under the nervous pressure of Reid's lips. She cupped one cheek, her other hand resting on his chest.
"You'll never know the endless nights, the rhyming of the rain."
He shuddered gently against her light touch, his stomach swooping. It was an odd sensation to be kissing a transgendered girl, though he didn't feel a hint of revulsion curling up in his throat; was he...OK with this? Though it wasn't conventional for someone to change, why was he so fine with this...? Reid blinked back to reality, as he tilted his head slightly to the side, his heart hammering, as he pressed himself closer to her.

She curled her hand into a fist in his robes, their bodies pressed close. Her head was leaned back at this point, since Reid was taller than she, and her hand slid into his hair and tugged gently in encouragement. Her lips parted, a soft, minty breath against Reid's lips alerting him of that.
"You'll never know the endless nights, the rhyming of the rain."
His throat constricted, as his heart sped up. This was not what he had signed up for... But then why aren't you stopping? A little voice taunted him, making his jaw clench in irritation. To be honest, he himself did not know why he didn't back up and end the kiss there; he was drunk off her scent. Hesitating a bit, he followed her lead - after all, she seemed to know what she was doing -, slightly opening his mouth. Was this right? Was he doing fine? His hand on her cheek, unbeknownst to him, slid down to rest on her hip, gently pushing her closer towards him, if that was possible.

Emilaya was soft, gentle under his hands, his lips. This was not the fierce, scowling Slytherin that many knew by her male name - this was Emilaya Rose, a girl who'd been broken and battered to the shell of her soft, loving self. She slid her hands through his hair, resting them both lightly on his shoulders, kneading the tense muscles there as she drew back, inhaling slowly. "There."
"You'll never know the endless nights, the rhyming of the rain."
As she drew back, a quiet whine escaped his throat: it was silly, he knew that, after all they had just met this morning, yet... "Strange things happen when you love somebody. His mother's words flittered through his mind, almost teasing him gently. Was that it, was this love? Though the answer to this question evaded him, frustrating Reid; he had to know the answer to this question. His irritation melted away, as she kneaded his shoulder, him sighing softly, his head falling slightly, as if exhausted. He was quiet for a moment, relishing in her warm body, before he glanced up at her at the top of his glasses, before asking, "Are you happy now?" Reid was pleased to find his voice level and it was without a hint of irritation or remorse. It was calm, soothing even.
