Arriving at an old warehouse, the thief parked and got out. "I, uh... I gotta go kid." He shut the door and ran into the warehouse.

The boy shivered at the new cold.

Eros broke into a jog, having a sick feeling in his gut. Man, what he wouldn't give for one of those flying bikes right then. Of course, they wouldn't work during the day. Too bad.

Eros glanced down at the little dot in his hand, which was glowing a steady blue, slowly changing to green as he went. He was getting closer.

The device in his hand started flashing green, and Eros peered ahead eagerly. He saw a warehouse and... there. His car. He sprinted over, hoping that Cody was somewhere near. To his surprise, the boy was still in the car, freezing to death. He pulled the door open and pulled him out of the car. "Here, I got you clothes," he said breathlessly. God, how had he been so stupid? He'd had the kid for an hour and he'd already screwed up.

The boy looked up at him with blurry vision, eyes half-lidded.

Eros went around dressing him with uncertain fingers. They were freezing from the cold air, but he ignored it. He had to get some clothes on the boy before he froze to death.

Eros finished dressing him and then helped him into a fur-lined jacket he'd bought him. After that, he wrapped his own jacket around the boy once more to add some extra protection against the cold, even thought Eros himself had goosebumps due to being jacketless. Then he helped him back into the car. "Let's go home now."

The boy nodded silently, looking down at his pale hands once seated in the car.

Eros glanced around quickly before starting the car and flooring it out of the place. He just wanted to be back at the institute.

When they arrived at the institute, Eros was exhausted. The sun had set while they were on the road. It had been a long day, and it wasn't over yet. He had to get the boy settled in at the institute, and explain to everyone who he was. And someday he'd have to explain to Cody what he was. The poor kid probably had no idea he had Shadowhunter blood.
