Welcome To The Masquerade { Frosty }

[Light]

Beatrice pushes her blonde hair off her neck and looks around the small cafe. It was one of her favorites nights; the only one during the week where they would let small artists play their own music. Twirling the straw in her glass around she mixes the thick red liquid. She hated having to drink blood, even the blood of an animal. It made her sick.

[ᴄʀʏsᴛᴀʟғʀᴏsᴛ]

A young man stepped up onto the small stage and lifted his guitar strap over his head. "How's everyone doing tonight?" he said into the microphone. He had a smile to light of the room, and bright, clear eyes that twinkled in the dim light of the café. He was a fine looking young man, but that mattered little to him. He'd never been concerned with appearances. At least, not that kind. The way people thought of him was more important.

[Light]

Beatrice pushes herself up and focuses her gaze on the young man on the stage. It would be rude not to. She tilts her head a bit and a few murmurs pass through the crowd that were watching him, a few waving in greeting.

[ᴄʀʏsᴛᴀʟғʀᴏsᴛ]

The man raised an eyebrow and cleared his throat. "I said, how's everyone doing tonight?" he prompted again.

[Light]

Beatrice covers her mouth and giggles at the boy- most of them were too intoxicated to comprehend his answer, "Good," she calls out. Whoops of agreement and a few others add, 'Alright,' or 'awesome'.

[ᴄʀʏsᴛᴀʟғʀᴏsᴛ]

He smiled in satisfaction and strummed a cord on his guitar. "That's better," he said. "My name's Jay Magison, and I'll be playin' some songs for you tonight. I hope you enjoy them. This first one's called Baby Blue Eyes." (<<I had to)

Beatrice taps her heel a bit closing her eyes in satisfaction.

[ᴄʀʏsᴛᴀʟғʀᴏsᴛ]

Jay sat down on a stool and began the song. When he was finished, he took a drink from his water bottle and waited for the applause.

[Light]

A round of pleased clapping follows when he finished, and Beatrice sets her cup down to softly claps her hands together.

[ᴄʀʏsᴛᴀʟғʀᴏsᴛ]

Jay played a few more songs, each of which was followed by a gentle applause. When he was done, he thanked the people in the café and then packed up his guitar.

[Light]

Beatrice taps her chin a bit and pushes her glass aside. She walks over to Jay, dodging the groups of people. "Hello,"

[ᴄʀʏsᴛᴀʟғʀᴏsᴛ]

Jay looked up in surprise. He rarely had people approach him after his shows. "Hey," he said. "Did you enjoy the show?" (By the way, if she knows anything about wizards, the Magison family is really prominent. She'd have heard of it)

[Light]

(Okay thanks for telling me x3) "Yes," she answers smiling, "You have such talent, I was surprised,"

[ᴄʀʏsᴛᴀʟғʀᴏsᴛ]

Jay laughed softly. "Should I take that as a compliment or an insult?" he asked. "Thank you, I guess."

[Light]

"It was a compliment," She nods her head her smile widening, "No need to worry,"

[ᴄʀʏsᴛᴀʟғʀᴏsᴛ]

Jay smiled at her. "What can I do for you?" he asked. "Or did you just come over here to tell me that?"

[Light]

"That was all," she laughs a bit and holds her hand out, "My names Beatrice, it was nice to meet you...?"

[ᴄʀʏsᴛᴀʟғʀᴏsᴛ]

"Jay," he said, reaching out to take her hand. As she moved her head, though, her eyes flashed red in that way that vampire's eyes do when they catch the light. Jay recoiled, his eyes going wide. He didn't mean to be rude, it was just a reflex. He did he best to avoid any other creatures from the secret world.

[Light]

Beatrice slowly frowns, and draws her hand back like a wounded animal, "It was nice to meet you Jay,"

[ᴄʀʏsᴛᴀʟғʀᴏsᴛ]

"I-I'm sorry," he stammered. "I didn't mean.... I'm sorry. I just wasn't expecting to see a..." he dropped his voice to a whisper, "a vampire here."
