"No" he said forcing her to come down.

Julianne pouted, crossing her arms huffily.

He tied the horses up and removed their saddles so that they werent being strangled all night.

Julianne stepped around, pacing a bit. "Do we have something to sleep in?" she asked, raising her shoulders to her ears.

He pulled off a sleeping bag off his horses rear,"here"

Julianne grumbled to herself as she took the sleeping bag, muttering a quick "thank you," before lying it on the ground a large distance away from where the horses were tied. She patted the material down, and climbed in, ignoring the rocks that poked her through the bag. The sooner she slept, the sooner she got to meet her brother! Or, at the least, get to a city.

He sat on the log where the horses were tied to keep watch.

Julianne sighed, she barely even knew this person. And the rocks under the sleeping bag were far too poke-y for her to sleep like this. "So, what was your childhood like? Or can you tell me?" she asked, raising an eyebrow.

"My parents hated me, they tried to get rid of me but couldn't, so they sold me to a creed, thats all i can say, you?" He asked as he finished tying up the horses and sat down.

Julianne raised an eyebrow, "Wow. Sommmee childhood. 'fraid mine isn't much better. I'm an orphan. I don't have a childhood."

He shrugged,"did you know your parents?" He asked looking over at her.

Her red hair swayed as she shook her head, face low to the ground. "No."

"Sorry" he said softly.

Julianne's head lifted slowly, and a gentle smile broke over her face, "It's fine. You didn't know."

He looked at her, confused in why she was smiling. "Are you ok?" He asked wondering if she was insane.

Julianne rubbed her eyes, "Yeah, I'm fine." she said, a slight growl to her voice. Her face and tone softened, "Just tired is all."

"Go to sleep then" he said swiveling his gaze around.

"If only it were that easy," she whispered, pulling the sleeping bag up high over her face.

He watched her for a little while then stared off into the forest, making sure no person or animal was coming close.

Somehow, despite the rock that pricked into her back and side, and the bugs she felt crawling all over her skin even though she rightly knew that there were none, Julianne finally gave in to her exhaustion. It was time for sleep.
