Caoi freezes and slowly withdraws her hand, trembling," Lumeh.." Her voice quavered and tears rolled down her cheeks

Cloud rolls up closer and holds her arms out, "Come here." she softly says, "We both need a hug, and I don't want it from someone who doesn't love him just as much, if not more than I do."

Caoi hakily embraces Cloud, praying as she pleads in her thoughts 'Save 'im! Save 'im!! But if ye DARE kill 'im, i'll destroy ye with me!!! HELP 'IM!!"

The wriggle and fly out, bypassing the large door easily. Contact with them turns fuzzy as they near him, but from the images from inside they were sending to her, his bugs had been destroyed. There wasn't one left inside his head. He looked like shit too, bloody and immobile. Cloud softly pets the back of her head, pulling her into her lap like she was a child. She had his scent, but in place of the minty-mint there was a more feminine sweetness. "He'll pull through this. He has to."

Caoi breathes in sharply and trembles, nodding, afraid if she said anything then she would start bawling...

She leans in closer, his voice lowering, "and while he's recovering, we need to find out what caused this. I don't believe /shit/ that came out of the officers mouths."

The bugs wriggle and begin their work, slowly, carefully, stitching the inside of his head together.

" Wha... What happened..?" She manages at last and smiffs

"He was somehow injured before the car veered off. Lumi just doesn't make mistakes like that." She shakes her head a bit and leans back. She uses the sleeve of the large, crisp hospital shirt to wipe the girls eyes.

" How was he hurt BEFORE the crash...?" Caoi asks but... She mustve already knew..

Cloud rests her hands back around the girls shoulders tiredly, "15:00, he called me. He had stopped to grab something on his way back home. 15:15 I saw his car up in flames on the news. Whatever he picked up must have been sabotaged, or the car had been tweaked. I didn't teach you how to put the pieces together, but I DID teach you how to corner your enemy and destroy the bastard. Whoever did it was experienced. Had been watching Lumi. Knew his schedule. Had a motive. Had resources to pull it off. There are hundreds that would be interested in the alien that looked like a human. A few might hold hostility towards extraterrestrials."

Caoi felt anger boil in her 'Namos... Who did this? Who?!? WHO?!?' Her mind shrieks though she remains silent

They defiantly shriek back, 'Busy!' Before buzzing again and returning to work. Cloud remains silent as well after her mini lecture, her eyes closed.

Caoi mumbles an apology, as much to Cloud as to the Nanos, hugging her mentor

"... We can start with the car." She mumbles under a sigh. The bugs buzz a bit in her mind, and Cloud pats her head softly. "They haven't disposed of it yet. Lumi is going to be in there for awhile dear... and when they come out he's not going to be awake. Not for a long time yet."

Caoi nods in understands and forces herself to control her breathing

Cloud gently squeezes her shoulders, "We shall not rest though. And until we find out who did this, and kill them, we WILL NOT cry again. Whoever the sick bastard is he might find it enjoyable."

Capi nods and whispers," Later... When he wake sup.. I-i wanna telly ou something.."

"Tell me something, hmmm?" She muses. She closes her eyes for a moment and rips the IV of with an annoyed scowl, "Alright then. He will wake up, Cao-chan, so take a breath and... As much as it sounds to be heartless, forget him until he's safe. He'll serve as a distraction."
