Cloud leans over the hunk of fried metal, her eyes narrowed. She had worked her momma-UC magic on the guards and got them in, only for awhile. No one wanted to make her angry--even if it WAS against the law for them to be in there. There were worse things than prison, like dissapointing the silverette.

Caoi examined the twisted metal in silence... He should be dead.. The nanos, did they save him?

Cloud drags her finger against the metal and licks it, "... This was a plasma explosion. It didn't come from the engine." She stalks over to where the drivers seat should be, slipping part of her body in so she could sniff the air. "It was already in the vehicle--smells too thick inside. And it's dented from the inside out, more so in the back seat." She wriggles inside and disappears in the confusion. "Looks like he had expected it. He used his emergency driver plasma shield to cover his more vital irreplaceable organs." She tosses the used part outside near the girls feet.

Realization suddenly smacked Caoi in the face," He did it on purpose..."

Cloud peeks out the window blinking, "Waddya mean by that?"

" Can anyone hear us here?" She asks softly, closig her eyes

[Light]

Cloud sticks her head back inside before climbing back out. She pulls a small hand-gun out of her pocket and aims up, pulling the trigger. A small pop goes of and the camera in the corner of the room starts to sizzle and scorch. "Talk. Quickly."

" Nanos. Thats what attacked you and killed your friend. The plague that Chose was talkig about the nanos were only in me and lumeh because we explored an old ICE lab, all his nanos are gone because he blew them out of his system and i have my nanos currently healing him they want to kill they're weapons... A plague.." She barely breathed between words and took a deep breath," there was somehing in the old files about defective nanos that drive a person insane i dunno if i ahve defective ones or not ad they wont tell or dont know either. I can control them now and kill people and watch them an change their thoughts and memories..."

Cloud calmly slips her gun back into her purse. She closes her eyes and clasps her hands in front of her. "Maybe Lumi had defective bugs... But what bugs me..." She grips her hands in a joined fist. "You said there were only two users. That means either Lumi or you killed Itami." She steps forward, her lips pressed in a thin line. "I don't mean to sound mean... Well I do... But... I guess that news of yours has to do with that. Or around those lines." Her nails draw blood from her palms, and she takes in a slow breath through her mouth. "Nano's eh? Well... I don't give a f**k about them. I just know that either of you--I don't care WHO, is responsible for her death. Nobody kills family and walks away unscathed. NO ONE."

" I did," Caoi says immediately, though she felt her chest clench," I wanted to see if they actually worked.. Then they attacked you and i brough them back as fast as i could. Thats no excuse, i know..." She clenches her teeth and bows her head," ... I should've destroyed them.. Like Lumeh.. But..." 'They are ALIVE... They can be GOOD only if /I/ can be' she wanted to say but her voice faltered

Cloud turns around quickly, and surprised sob escapes her and she covers her mouth. She swings her head side to side, her glasses slipping from her nose. "O-oh god..." She whispers to herself."Give me a damn good reason as to why I shouldn't kill you right now!" She falls down hugging herself, "Do you know how many laws you've broken?! I should just hand you over to Udolf--but, but... I'm not... You KNOW that, don't you? You know... You both know..." She looks back up at Caoihme; she had seen executions. Seen what the law does to those who break it like they had. She couldn't do that.

" I can't give ye a good reason, Cloud.." She murmurs, her eyes closed," It'd probably be best if ye jus' killed me, it'd destroy the nanos too," she closes her blue eyes," I'm not a good person, and i have all these people that i know i don't deserve. I should've been executed in the MUC trials.. But i wasnt.. And i used to think it was a curse.. And then a blessing... I think its a curse..."

She hiccups and covers her mouth. Her hand slips back down into her lap and she stands up. "No. No, I won't kill you. That's... No matter how much I want to," she uneasily sways, "that's not my place. Lumi though, if he wants you to die, then so be it. But you will tell him when he wakes up. Or I will--cause THAT is my place. My son. My grandmother. He deserves to know. Got that?"

" Yes ma'am," Caoi bows her head, feeling her insides quiver and her heart beat like a rabbit's... She felt dizzy with grief and relief but felt dread

Cloud keeps her back to her after that, her arms crossed. "Now... Leave agent. Before I change my damned mind. I hope you know how much..." She trails off and bites down on her lip, "How much that hurts."

Caoi doesnt answer but leaves the room, she had kille alot of people.. A WHOLE lot.. Was that why she didnt feel regret for the act itself?

Cloud leans back against the car, and uses the sound proof walls to her advantage. She opens her mouth and screams angrily, letting her frustration and grief out in the cry. Why was Lumi nearly dead when she needed a big hug the most?

Lumi had stayed in the ER over twelve hours... Half a day. Then they turned him over to another set of doctors. They put him in a tube of medicinal water to help reconstruct what had been burned off. His alien genes, since the human side had been heavily injured, started coming in more. Places where his skin had burned off was replaced with a thick layer of skin where scales had started to grow.

He had not woken up.

Cloud remained with him diligently, mostly alone other than the occasional nurse who would come into the room to check the monitors. She gives the flowers in the room a nauseous look--they smelled terrible. They LOOKED terrible. Lumi wouldn't like them when he wakes up. She had bought a jar of soft mints and put the open jar by the tube; maybe it would wake him up quicker.

Caoi had visited him once , only to whisperin his ear once and retreat before Cloud could shoo her away. Now she sat in her apartment, she'd tell Lumi, then turn herself in..."
