She let go of her arm and shrugged,"I don't know, I dont think I'm that great"

She pressed her mouth together in a thin line, rubbing her arm where Kia had squeezed her. "Does it matter if you're good or not? Not matter what it is, you shouldn't just show people your body so willy-nilly."

She shrugged,"I don't get with them or anything, I'm not like that, I just do it because its a good paying job."

She shook her head and let out a sigh, not wanting this to turn into an argument. "Alright, alright," she said, holding up her hands in surrender.

She smiled and nodded then walked back to the french toast she was making.

Nala leaned back in her chair, tilting the legs back. She crossed her hands over her chest, eyeing Kia's back. Though it shouldn't bother her, it still made her stomach clench at the thought of her roommate stripping in front of people.

She hummed softly, returning to the food as if they hadnt had a conversation like that.

Nala drummed her fingers on the table, feeling the awkward silence grow bigger. She racked her brain for something to talk about, though she couldn't focus on any of the ideas.

"So yesterday was ok?"

Nala slowed down her drumming, grateful for the break in the silence. "Ah...it was fun," she slowly said, wondering how to define what happened, "it was a little tiring, though I guess that's to be expected."

She chuckled and nodded,"yeah its tiring"

Nala gestured at Kia, asking, "And don't you have multiple jobs? Maybe I shouldn't be complaining..."

She chuckled,"yeah, i do"

Nala crossed her hands over her chest, frowning at her. "Is the rent to this place, that much?"

She nodded,"we have to pay rent and for electrical and water and it's pretty expensive"

Nala let out a snort, sounding like she didn't believe her. "If you say so," she muttered, leaning back against the chair. "This is why I'd rather live on the streets; everything is free."

She chuckled,"thats what I thought at first, but we are happy now, we have a warm place to sleep and a way to get food, its nice."

Nala sighed and tilted her chair back again. "If you say so, though living outside is better in my taste. It's freeing to not have a set place or a set time to be back," she mused.

She shrugged,"we dont" she said.

"To each their own,' she loftily replied, closing her eyes.
