Nala made a noise in the back of her throat. "Yeah," she murmured, not turning around. She was quiet for a moment, before she cleared her throat, slowly rising to her feet. Keeping her back to Kia, she continued, "We should ah...get moving. I would hate to waste the day sitting awkwardly in this room."
Nala watched her hurry out of the room, before grabbing new clothes and rushing into the bathroom, like she expected Kia to suddenly appear again. She turned to the shower and stripped down, turning on the hot water. As soon as she climbed in, she stood there for a moment, letting the warm water fall down her body. It felt so nice to just stand here, letting the water unknot her shoulders and muscles.
For a while she didn't move, though after a while, she climbed out of the shower, threw on her clothes, and walked outside of her room. Her hair was pulled back with the towel, bits of it falling to her cheek.
Nala nodded, hiding a smirk with a cough. "Alright," she said, settling down in a chair. "Is your...brother around?" She winced as she looked around the kitchen.
Nala winced, her heart sinking. She shouldn't be that surprised; she had, after all, kissed his boyfriend. "I...see," she slowly said, frowning at the gruond.
Nala blinked at her, completely taken aback. "I was just talking about that job about you giving your body to other people," she said slowly, her eyes wide with surprise. "At least I think that's what you said... I was kind of irritated at you at the time, so my memory's a little foggy."
Her shoulders seemed to relax, at that knowledge, as if she had been worrying about this the whole time. "Oh...I see. But isn't that not a good thing, you're still selling yourself short..."
