She shook her head, hearing blood thumping in her ears. "No, please, just go away," she muttered, seeming as defeated as she was when the two first met.
Nala shook her head, feeling even more childish than before. "Right, right." She hesitated for a minute, looking torn between saying something. She finally cleared her throat and muttered, "Sorry about that. I'm just...tired."
Nala nodded, hesitating for a moment. "Yeah, g'night," she muttered, rubbing the back of her neck. She felt grateful that she didn't push on the subject, though she would never say that aloud. At least not yet.
Nala slowly sat up, blinking her eyes blearily. She had had a strange dream, though she couldn't remember it clearly. All she remembered was feeling at home. She ran a hand through her tangled hair, yawning as she swung her feet off of her bed. Oh well, perhaps she would remember.
Nala added her shriek of terror, her eyes flying open, all of her sleepiness disappearing instantly. Her cheeks turned pink as she saw it was Kia. "A-are you OK?" She asked, hesitantly getting to her feet, not knowing if she should help her up or something.
"Ri-right." Nala's blush grew brighter as she spun around, her hands clenching and unclenching. "I...er...d-do you need me to get your brother?" She asked, her voice a pitch higher.
Nala could hear her heart thumping louder. Her blood boiled and she started to shake. Why...why was this happening? Once the door was closed, everything seemed to be drained out of her. She looked so exhausted, like she had never fallen asleep in the first place. Wearily she sat down, looking so defeated. She hated this. She hated this feeling. Damnit! This should not be happening to her.
She sunk to the ground, nobody, not even her brother had seen her scars, she didnt let anybody, and she never would. She swiftly stood up and applied her makeup after getting dressed then ruffled her hair and pulled it into a pony tail before opening the door again,"s-sorry about that" she mumbled softly.
Nala nodded hesitantly, not feeling quite at home any more. There was an awkward silence that she didn't break, as she turned away from Kia. "You OK?" She asked again, keeping her eyes glued to the bed post.
