Her mother continued rambling on until her father yelled from the garage,"tell Nala to come home soon the Impalas almost ready for her!" He said causing her mother to gasp,"you giving the impala to her! I totally thought it was going to be my birthday present, but whatever you love our daughter more"

Impala? What the heck is that...? Nala was quiet for a moment, wincing as the two started to argue. "Er...mom? What's an impala?"

"Its that old car that you Father has been working on since you were just a child, dont you remember."she said

Nala slapped her forehead, childhood memories flooding back to her. "That's right! Oh gosh, I remember that ol' thing," she chuckled fondly.

She smiled,"he said if you come back within a month you can have it" she said.

Her smile wavered. "Er...is that a good idea? I'll have to see my brother, right? He wasn't exactly happy to find out about what had happened to me," she pointed out, her shoulders starting to slouch.

She frowned,"your brother was very upset, and he will be so happy to see you"

Nala nodded, though didn't seem convinced. "If you say so," she said, letting out a sigh, "it's been nice talking to you mom, though I hafta go now. Tell everyone I send them love."

She smiled,"i love you, call me soon"

Nala nodded. "Love you too," she murmured. In a louder voice, she said, "I will. See ya." She pulled the phone from her ear and pressed the END button. For a moment, she was quiet, before she called to Kia, "Alright, you can come in again, I'm all done."

Kia peeked her head out then strolled in,"so howd it go?"

She shrugged. "Eh, same as any other phone call; brother's furious, mom's worried, and dad's working on a car."

She smiled,"sounds fun"

Nala rolled her eyes, a smile tugging on her lips. "Oh it's just the best, trust me,' she dryly replied.

She smiled and chuckled,"are you going back?"

Her smile faltered and a small blush dotted her cheeks. "Er...well no. At least, if you'll let me stay here...?"

She smiled,"oh good for a moment i was scared you would leave us"

She pressed her eyebrows together, looking confused. "Wait...you want me here?"to she asked, looking up at her.

Her visible cheek was powdered with a blush,"err..yeah, your uhh.. Fun to have around when your not hooking up with my brothers boyfriend"

She let out a groan, bringing her knees to her chest and laying her forehead on top of them. "Oh God, don't remind me," she mumbled, looking completely guilty, "I screwed that up..."
