She chuckled,"me and Leo are both gay, our parents weren't exactly pro-gay either. But they loved us either way" she said with a smile. Thenbefore Leo came back over she sat down at a square table with Nala.
"Our parents were murdured, someone with a grude set fire to our home, hlaf of my face got burned and i was left blind in one eye while Leo was out with a friend.
She looked away, a hand reached up to touch her face, the ice blue eye on that side and her other teddy bear brown eye casting a glance to the floor before they looked back at her, a small smile on her red lips,"Leo got me out before it got serious.
Nala winced, a little ticked off at herself for bringing that up. "Wow...I'm...I'm so sorry," she said, swallowing hard. "That must've been terrifying."
Wow...she jumped from topic to topic... Though I guess I was picking on an old wound... She cleared her throat and glanced down at the menu. "I think I'll have the chicken fried rice. You?"
Nala licked her lips. "You know, I wouldn't have though I would have liked it here, though it's nice and peaceful," she mused, glancing around the place.
Nala gave Leo a small smile and a nod, then turned back to Kia. "Oh yeah, if you have the time, I'd love to see more places like this," she said, not knowing the implications she was making.
Nala murmured a hello to Kenny, before sneaking Kia a frown. She still felt her stomach coil up at the mention of her job, though she wiped off the frown by popping a piece of chicken in her mouth.
Nala sat up straighter, her eyes widening. "Wewy?" She swallowed her food and tried again. "Really? Holy crap that's amazing!" She set her piece of chicken down, finally contemplating her educational life. "I barely made it through freshman year of high school; I got booted out of it..."
