Nala's eyebrows raised then narrowed. "If you don't mind me prying, why couldn't you do that earlier? Was it because of...?" Nala paused and ran a finger down the right side of her own face.
"I see," Nala replied, just as softly. She shifted her weight from foot to foot, before continuing, "Sorry...I guess I shouldn't be prying you for answers, huh?"
Nala muttered an apology under her breath, while she leaned against the wall. She stayed quiet, letting the sounds of the city fill the silence between the two.
"If by fine you mean about to tumble over at the slightest touch," Nala muttered, quickly walking to her side and steadying Kia. She put her right arm around Kia's shoulder and took her hand in her left hand. She gently guided her over to the couch, before she could say a word.
She sighed,"thanks, normally I'm up and have taken my pills long before anyone else is awake" she said,"because they take about a half an hour to take effect"
She smiled slightly, before gently setting her down on the couch. She got up and rummaged around, when she tossed a blanket to Kia. "Nah, it's fine. I couldn't just watch you stumble around like you're drunk. 'Sides the surprise shook away the hazy feeling of sleep."
Nala shrugged one shoulder and settled down beside her, a little embarrassed. "Like I said, I would feel guilty if I left you there stumbling around. It's no big deal."
