"Seriously, you need to stop apologizing, I was just kidding," Nala said, rubbing the back of her neck and grimacing.

She chuckled and caught herself before she said it again.

"There you go, you're gettin' it," Nala said, snickering.

She playfully punched her arm,"sit with me, lets watch some saturday afternoon TV" she chuckled happily as she grabbed the remote.

"It would be an honor," she teased, raising her eyebrows. She settled beside Kia, leaning her head against the head of the sofa.

She smiled and flipped it to Criminal Minds.

Nala settled into the couch, letting out a soft sigh. This was so peaceful, not having to worry about anything.

Kia glanced over happily and gazed over her body. "You are really pretty"

She tensed up as Kia said this, slowly pressing her shoulders inwards, like Nala was trying to protect herself from something. "I- Thank you...?" She slowly said, swallowing a bit.

She smiled and gently nudged, her,"don't worry I'm not going to hurt you"

She made a face at her. "I don't know, whenever I get a compliment, I feel like it's a backhanded comment."

"Mine is not back handed at all, I just think you are really pretty,"

Nala managed a small smile. "Thanks, you're not too bad yourself."

She blushed,"thanks dear" she giggled.

Nala shrugged, not knowing how to continue; was she supposed to continue complimenting Kia, or stop there? She had never had this happen to her- she usually strayed away from people, they usually turned her off. Though when she was around Kia, Nala's heart skipped a beat sometimes.

Kia smiled and fazed at her with a smile before looking away and gazing over at the TV.

Nala stretched her hands above her head, yawning widely. "I have to head out," she told Kia, "my shift starts soon and I'd rather not get on my manager's bad side -actually, more like worse side." She let out a sigh, as she stood up, running a hand through her hair unconsciously. "I'll probably get back in a couple of hours, dunno if no one else will show up or not."

She let her multicolored gaze fall upon her and nodded,"ok, have beth call us if it gets dark and We can come to walk you home" she said in a concerned manner.
