"Yeah, yeah," Nala muttered, before hanging up. She put her hands in her pockets and started off on her way back to Kia's house.

She waited, pacing back and forth

Finally, Nala opened the door, letting out a soft sigh. "I'm back," she called wearily into the house, taking off her shoes, as she tried to hide a yawn.

Kia rushed over,"your ok right?"

She raised an eyebrow at her, as she dropped her shoes on the ground. "Of course I am, like I said over the phone, I'm fine."

She sighed in relief and gazed at her,"good, how was work?"

She gave her a one shoulder shrug. "Same as always, busy around noon and then dead quiet around three. How was you day?"

She sighed,"boring"

Nala chuckled slightly. "Well, that's better than being pushed around by your boss," she replied.

She sighed,"well tomorrow I get pushed around,"

She shuffled her shoes off to the side, before asking, "Really? What do you do for a job?" She glanced up at her, as she collapsed down on the couch.

"You already know" she chuckled.

She made a face at Kia. "God, that's right. I had forgotten about that job," she muttered, putting her hands behind her head. "Blech, just thinking about it sends shudders up and down my spine, no offense, of course."

She frowned,"Its not like I'm a slut" she pouted.

She put her hands up, quickly replying, "No, no, that's not what I'm bagging on -it's the job, not you."

She pouted and looked away,"It was the only job anyone would give me"

[mationix]

"You should keep searching for a better job, it isn't right for you to do something like that," Nala replied, sounding a little worried for Kia.

She sighed and rolled her eyes,"we've gone over this haven't we, i do it because I have to, because I spent a year doing nothing except applying for jobs everywhere"

"That's just because you've had bad luck trying to find a job, I'm sure if you go looking this year it'll change," Nala offered.

She frowned,"I can try but whatever.
