Noticing Kia's stares, Nala ducked her head, feeling a bit foolish. "Sorry, I've just never thought of myself as being someone important to anyone else."

"Well you are important to me Nala" she said.

Nala managed a small smile, almost looking embarrassed for smiling. "Ah...er...thanks, I guess. It's still...odd to think that, you know?"

She shrugged,"you'll get used to it"

Nala chuckled. "Sounds like you'll be force-feeding me compliments from now on," she joked.

She giggled happily.

Nala felt something melt inside of her at Kia's laugh. Though she shook her head, her defense building up once more. She got to her feet and grabbed their plates and threw them in the sink.

Kia smirked,"first rule, always wash your dishes"

Nala let out a weak chuckle, feeling a bit embarrassed she couldn't just sit down and have a normal conversation. She needed to be doing something with her hands, it was a nervous habit she had never grown out of, unfortunately...

She chcukled happily and helped her wash the dishes before going to sit down.

Nala didn't know what to do with herself, once she was done cleaning the dishes. She wiped her hands on her shirt, drying them, as she nibbled on her lip. She turned around, putting her hands behind her back, as she studied Kia for a moment. Finally, she strode over to her, riffling in her pocket, when she pulled a piece of paper out. "Here, this is my part of the rent, I hope it's enough," she said, her cheeks pinkening in embarrassment.

Kia gazed down at it,"i hope this isnt your full check, you need some pleasure money, which reminds me we should open you up a bank account.

She blinked blankly at Kia, before she shook her head. "N-no, I don't have anything I want to buy; you're the one that saved me, I have a large debt for you saving me."

She shook her head,"that is not a debt you can pay with money dear, its a favor in the future"

She gave her a humorless smile. "So it's blackmail?" She asked, tilting her head to the side.

She chuckled,"not really, because im not evil love"

She seemed to relax. "Sorry, I guess that was uncalled for," she said, ducking her head in embarrassment.

She giggled happily and shook her head, "its fine"

"Are you sure? I really should think of what I say before I talk," she said, rubbing the back of her neck.
