She gave her a wry smile. "And for that, I thank you. It's easy for me to talk when you're around," Nala admitted.

She smiled and hugged her,"of course" she said with a wide smile.

Nala stiffened, her arms pressed against her own hips, like she was frozen in place. Finally after a couple seconds, she hesitantly -and a bit awkwardly-, wrapped her arms around Kia. She patted Kia's back, wondering what the heck she was supposed to do.

Kia released her from the hug and smiled brightly before skipping into her bedroom.

Nala watched Kia skip off, before she settled herself on the couch, draping her arm over the edge of it. She leaned her head against the back and closed her eyes, letting out a tired sigh.

Kia sat at her desk and began doing all the calculations for the week.

Leo slid into the house, super annoyed by everything at this point. He flopped down on the couch and sighed. "Kia!" He called.

Nala jumped, almost dropping what she was cooking. Turning her head, she gave a small smile to Leo. "Oh...um...welcome home," she said, a bit awkwardly, as she untied the apron around her.

He glared at her and flopped down.

Kia skidded out to the couch,"what? What is it" she asked as if they had called fire.

Nala winced as Leo flopped down on the couch, turning back to what she was cooking. Perhaps if she just shut her mouth, everything would cool down. Then again, she didn't remember p*ssing off Leo...

Kia sighed seeing nothing wrong and walked over to punch his shoulder,"you jerk you scared me" she growled before walking over to Nala and smiling,"did you apologize for you know...kissing his boyfriend" she whispered?

She glanced at her and gave a small nod. "Yeah, a couple days ago, I think," she murmured back, setting the knife down on the cutting board.

She hesitated for a moment, before looking over her shoulder to frown at him. "Do you know why he's so angry?"

Nala made a noise in the back of her throat, though grudgingly walked over to him. "Er...welcome back Leo, how was your day?"

He gazed at her and narrowed his eyes,"fantastic" he mumbled sarcastically.
