Taryn was starting to feel the buzz, her head was feeling light, and she was feeling much less upset over her boyfriend's jerkish breakup with her.

Allie weaved through the people in the party, looking around for Taryn. She didn't want to leave her alone for too long. "Taryn?" she called but the music was so long.

Taryn wandered to the bathroom, setting her drink down on a table outside before stepping in. It was a stupid move, not something she would have done had she not already been drunk.

Allie searched high and low for Taryn, the kitchen, living room, outside again, the front yard. She checked the bedrooms and still no sign. So finally she resided in the living room flopping down on the couch.

Taryn picked up her drink again on her way out of the bathroom and headed down the hallway. She wondered where Allie had gotten off to. She felt bad about snapping at her.

Allie was on the couch a few guys sitting with her obviously trying to flirt but she didn't seem to care, she was her same friendly self. Definitely not flirty though. Boys didn't exactly spark her interest.

"Hey, Kat," Taryn said as she approached her friend. Her words were clearly slurred.

Allie sat up abruptly "Taryn! Have you been drinking?" she asked, eyes narrowed and a look of disapprovement on her face.

"What?" Taryn asked. "Me? Well, yeah, a little bit."

"You don't drink." she said matter a factly "oh Taryn..." she sighed standing up and steadying her friend "Come on." she took her to an empty bedroom and sat her down, "I'm going to get you some water, stay here." she took her cup from her making 'tsk' sounds then left the room closing the door behind her.

Taryn sat on the bed, staring numbly at the wall. A noise came from out in the hallway and she looked at the door curiously.

The door opened, slowly at first, then a head popped in. A boy about her age maybe a year older was looking at her curiously "Hey." he smiled his blue eyes fixed on Taryn.

Taryn smiled at him drunkenly. "Hi," she said. He was kind of cute. Not like Duncan, but cute nonetheless.

He stepped in, closing the door behind him, "What are you doing in here all by yourself?" he asked reaching behind his back to lock the door nonchalantly, he then slowly walked toward her his smile never faltering "I've got to say you're one of the prettiest girls I've seen at the party so far."

"Aww, thanks," Taryn said in her slurred voice. "You're not so bad lookin' yourself."

"Aw well that's sweet of you." he chuckled sitting beside her, "Are you waiting on someone?" he asked brushing some hair out of her face.

"Uh... I don't remember," Taryn said, blinking at him.

The guy was inching closer and closer, he leaned forward gently grabbing her arm and kissed her.

Taryn stiffened in surprise, but she was too drunk to care. Her inhibitions were completely gone. Besides, she didn't have a boyfriend anymore. She kissed him back, her arms snaking up around his neck.

He smiled against her lips and pushed her back onto the bed one of his hands unbuttoning her pants and the other up her shirt.
