Kurt Cromewell, older son of the royal family of Oromo was not exactly what you would call the best leader. Well, at least his younger brother was a better leader and he paled in comparison. That's why he was- again- up a tree. That's why he was always lonely. Although he had a pretty good life, he had never been outside the castle walls. He wondered what was out there, and that was another reason he was up this particular tree- he could see over the wall and into the city beyond.
[/font]Kurt sighed softly to himself as he thought of all the instances he had had to pick himself up off the ground and his brother was picked up by their father, Lief. He was never babied, like he liked to imagine Arryn was. And the final reason he liked being in the tree tops was that it wasn't as easy for his brother to find him there.
Recently, the two brothers had been drawing apart from each other. Kurt preferred to read or practice his magic power, which was fire control. Arryn liked to sneak down to the barracks and practice swordplay. At least before Kurt had had one thing Arryn hadn't- a power. But about a year ago, Arryn had found his power and Kurt was now completely under his brother's shadow. With the way things had been going, Kurt wouldn't even be surprised if Arryn was chosen over him to be the official heir to the throne.
Kurt shifted his weight to a more comfortable position and tried to see even farther in the distance.

Lol! No, it's exactly like i imigined it xD)

Arryn was lying on the lush grass near the koi pond, his hand in the cool water as a large pearl white koi nibbles on his fingers. His eyes were closed and his soft blue hair rustled faintly in the sweet smelling wind. He was humming a soft song he had been taught by one of the soldiers:
"Under this crushing wait, I'm sinking
It never goes away, the thinking
Echoes in empty rooms decaying
Alone to face the rest of me

It doesn't matter now...

Kurt's sharp ears picked up the tune and his eyes narrowed. Of course. Just when he was thinking of his brother, there he was. He groaned inwardly and looked down around the trunk of the great oak he was in. He spotted his brother and drew in a breath.

He continues softly, himming some parts:
" Lead in my gut, not in my spine
I feel distracted all the time
Well luckily I'm finally all alone

He hums te rest and huffs sadly

Kurt rolled his eyes and began to quickly climb down the tree. He landed in the soft green grass below and moved farther away from the place where his brother was, hoping and praying he wouldn't notice and following. He went far enough away that he could not longer hear Arryn and climbed a smaller tree there.

Hmmm... About the throne, the outside world or the soldiers' respect... The soldiers are an extension of the people so itd be interesting)

Arryn opens one eye and watches him leave, sitting up and frowning before rubbing his face... It'd be nice if they could play again... Be friends again...

He got up and starts after his brother, he finally reaches the small tree and glances around calling," Kurt~!"

Kurt's cold, mint-green eyes stared down at his brother, mock astonishment on his face. "Why, if it isn't my little brother. I'm surprised that you're not in the barracks sucking up to the guards," he said, almost sounding surprised... if he wasn't being so sarcastic.

Arryn frowns and mutters," Theyre my friends... I don't suck up to my friends..." But he looks up and sighs," Hello to you too, buddy..."

Kurt simply looked away, clearly not wanting to be disturbed. "Friends." He laughed mirthlessly. Kurt had never had friends.

" so uhm... Can i come up?" Arryn asks awkwardly

"I don't know why you'd want to," he said somewhat bitterly. "I'm not the one that father favors. I'm not the one who gets special treatment just because of a stupid power."

Arry sighs and stares at his feet," I just wanted to make up... And dad doesnt favor me, i just bother to hang out with him more.."

Kurt's eyes flashed with sudden anger. "When Cador attacked us that one time, when you discovered your power? Father didn't check to see if I was hurt first, and he didn't try to sooth me. I picked myself off the ground! And he couldn't be bothered to try to spend time with me! So tell me again how he does not favor you! And this time, at least try to be convincing!" While he was yelling all of this, he jumped down from the tree and stood glaring at his younger brother.

Arryn flinches and doesnt look at him,"..." He frowns and sighs,"... I dunno... I dunno Kurt.."

"Yeah, you don't know. You don't know how lucky you are. Father has always liked you more. For as long as I can remember," he said quietly.

" You are... Exagerating.." Arryn mutters finally glancing up at his big brother," Kinda wish instead of whining about me, you'd just kill me already.."

Ignoring the second part of what he said about killing him, Kurt exploded again. "Whining? I've spent sixteen years keeping my mouth shut about it! You are so selfish!"

[CrimsonMoon]

Arryn frowns and murmurs," I care for the soldiers... I always have... You're being selfish, you're not accepting responsibility... You think i've been babied... When you train to survve... You never get to be babied in fights.."

[~echo~]

"What responsibility? Everybody knows that you are going to be the heir. You should shut up and accept that. And while you're at it, kindly leave me to my own devices," he yelled, storming away.

Arryn glares at his back and finally hollers," I WOULDNT HAVE TO BE THE HEIR IF YOU JUST HAD THE SLIGHTEST BIT OF SKILL YOU SELFISH ARSE HOLE!!"
