He sighed softly, but once he heard another scream he couldn't help but burst in.
Jason was being held over the banister of the top level of the library by his neck, his fingernails scraping at the flesh on the male's hand and wrist, trying to push him off of him while not falling.
The male glared down at him, strange blue eyes beginning to glow around the pupil.
Alexander took out his blade and raced over to where the stranger was.
The stranger's gaze flicked over to the Shadowhunter coming for him and he clenched his teeth, loosening his hold so that he could take out his own weapon.
Jason huffed as he fell into the Shadowhunter's arms, blinking as he saw stars, and not because he was happy to have been saved. Almost everyone knew of his fear of heights, so to be threatened to die by it was... more or less terrifying to the point of passing out.
Alexander, on the other hand, could not be challenged by vertigo as much as his body wanted to be considering his tricky duel with the surprise Shadowhunter. Or... Shadowhunter enemy, he wasn't sure. The male had a Seraph blade, so he was sure he had to be a hunter, but... What confused him was why he was battling him in the first place, and what he wanted with his brother.
"It's okay, JC," Colden whispered to him, steadying himself. His grip on JC was very protective and he shushed him softly. He knew of his brother's fear of heights and just wanted to calm him down enough so that he didn't pass out.
[ i had to expose my great love for the cason moment cx even if they're not a couple, i love them~ xD ]
Jason nodded, staring off into the distance before he seemed to snap back into reality and gasped at the scene above them. He hadn't seen his brother actually fight in front of him, and the sight was terrifying because he worried more and more about his brother's safety. He felt his fingertips and toes start to turn numb with pins and needles and he swayed a bit.
"Jason, Jason look at me," Colden said sternly, grabbing his hand gently, "You need to keep calm right now. Concentrate on my voice. Alexander is fine, he's a good fighter. But you need to try and keep conscious right now. It might distract him if you start getting sick. I know you can stay calm."
"Sh*t, f*ck," Torn between going to aid his parabatai and helping his brother, Colden scooped Jason up. He looked up to where Xander and the stranger were fighting...just in time to see Ezekiel appear with a blade in hand. The warlock didn't waste any magic on this man, but instead pressed the blade against the stranger's throat from behind.
"I would drop the weapon if I were you," he murmured softly to him, voice dripping with venom.
The stranger clenched his teeth and glared sideways at the Warlock. "A Downworlder? Allowed into the Institute without a Shadowhunter's approval?"
Alexander hissed, eyes shutting tight as the tip of the blade the stranger held to his neck pricked the skin on his neck, a bead of blood -slowly growing- appearing.
"You aren't in a position to talk leisurely," Kiel drawled, pressing his blade just a little harder against him, "Just drop the blade and let the boy go."
The stranger grumbled but nonetheless did as he was told, slowly removing his blade from Alexander's neck -though not before letting a slit occur on the younger's neck- and stood back, gazing at the warlock with contempt.
Alexander groaned in pain as blood started to leak down from his neck though he slowly stood and glared at the stranger.
The warlock rolled his eyes and backhanded the stranger across the face. What he really wanted to do was kill him, but he learned that doing that was not always the smartest first move.
Colden, meanwhile, was carrying JC back down to his room, rushing for his medicine.
Jason, subconsciously as he was waking, felt the pins and needles get closer and closer to his heart, at a much faster rate than usual. Probably because of the shocking sight of seeing his brother being bent over a railing like he was going to snap in half.
While the stranger was preoccupied with the shock of being slapped by a warlock -A warlock!-, Alexander sliced the hand off of the male. Once it erupted into a pile of green dust, he knew the true identity of the enemy, and he grumbled in frustration, inserting the blade from the top of its chest cavity to its groin, green dust spilling from its insides as the healthy glow of its mask slowly faded into a wrinkled, pale disgusting thing and it fell to the floor. Blood still caked to his neck and pouring from the wound, he leaned against the railing before looking down at the bottom floor. "Where's Jason."
"Blondie took him," Ezekiel wasnt worried about Jason right now. He moved over to Alexander and examined the wound in his neck, "I need to heal this right away, Alexander."
Colden layed Jason on the bed and smoothed his hair back from his face, "Hold on one sec, Jas." he ran to his medicine, grabbing it /all/.
