Colden rolled his eyes and accepted his hand, brushing off his pants as he stood up, "You're psycho, you know that? You nearly killed me one second and now you're acting fine," he bopped Alexander on the head, "I'll come with you, though. I want to see how he's doing."
"I'll take my leave at that," Ezekiel strode over and placed a kiss on Xander's head, "I will see you soon, Blue Eyes. If ever you feel the need to call me, Blondie has my number. Just let me know when you two plan on finding that vampire and I shall meet you there."
Colden just waved his hand at him, heading down the hallway to JC's room. He hummed as he walked, hooking his thumbs around the belt loops of his dark skinny jeans.
Ezekiel headed for the front door. He was capable enough of seeing himself out.
Arriving at JC's door, Alexander hummed and was about to knock on the wood when the door slowly opened to reveal an adorable 17 year old boy wearing black sweatpants with red dogs on them, a red tank top, and rubbing one eye with the opening of a fist. He grumbled, his eyebrows furrowed, and looked up at his brothers.
"...You look horrible."
"Thanks, Jace." Xander sighed softly with a smile as he shook his head. Granted, the 'compliment' was directed to both Shadowhunters in front of the younger, but it never ceased to amuse the older brunette how blunt the younger could be.
Cole knelt down beside Jace, "How are you feeling today, JC?" he asked gently, blue eyes surveying his face in a way that was searching for any sign of fatigue or exhaustion.
"Fine." Jason grumbled, yawning again. He stretched his arms above his head with a slight squeak of pleasure as he started to see stars -a sign of his muscles relaxing after a hectic night of 'rest'- before he stood. "Who was the guy?"
He yawned again and scratched at a new rune on his arm. 'Younglings', as Alexander liked to call them from time to time -or more like call Jace-, received runes as they grew up in order to fend off demonic energy and keep their minds pure for battle and everyday life. Of course, that didn't exclude the fact that they itched like crazy.
"I dunno, he had dark hair, he was really tall, he was really skinny, and he spoke in another language. Or at least I think it was another language."
Colden glanced at his parabatai, his expression becoming a little guarded. JC may have been dreaming, but if he wasn't, that meant there was some stranger who was able to get into the Institute without being let in by one of them. That was not a good thing, "And did all he do was talk when he came in here?"
"I remember... I remember..." Jason thought back. "I remember a growl... and a blue light... and... then I fell off my bed."
Alexander seemed to grow five shades paler. It was a dream, he recognized that. But it was a dream spawned from a memory. An event his little brother had gone through when he was only two. He had only heard of what had happened from his parents, and even then it was just tid bits. But from what he knew, it freaked him out beyond belief. And as far as they knew, the person who had visited JC when he was two was still alive.
Colden frowned, "I want you to tell us /right away/ the next time this happens," he walked over to JC and spoke sternly, "I'm serious, Jason. Straight away. Yell for us if you have to."
Colden didn't even respond; he was already out of the bedroom door and tearing down the hallway. His seraph blade blazed to life in his hand, poised to kill if necessary.
"Colden!" Alexander called as he raced after him, clenching his teeth. "We can't just burst in there! He's my brother, too, but that doesn't mean we can just go in there without a plan!"
In the library, papers were flying all around the room whilst Jason was being backed up against a wall by a male that had striking blue eyes that seemed to belong in a Disney movie and a rather attractive figure and face. The young Blackthorn looked around for something to delay the male in front of him, though couldn't find anything to use.
