"We need to figure more out about this topic..." Leland sighed. "I would really prefer to not do so by finding those guys from last night. What is to stop them from hurting you further?"

She nodded,"ok, we should find another way" she said, searching her mind for another answer.

"Maybe there are other vampires in clubs like it?" Leland tried to remember the name of the club.

She nodded and climbed out of his grasp.

Leland sits up and stretches.

She stretched, yawning softly.

[Anime]

Leland stood, wondering into the kitchen for a glass of water.

She followed him, mimicing his movements.

Leland glanced over his shoulders, "Would you like a glass of water? I finally finished installing a working sink this past week..."

She nodded with a smile,"did you fix it up all on your own?"

[Anime]

"Yes." Leland smiled, proud of his work. "I've been renovating this house since I got back into town. Now I just need working electricity in the kitchen and we'd be set." He chuckled. He'd gotten in back up in a few select rooms, which made it livable, but it was slow-going.

She smiled,"If you want I can help" she offered. Suddenly Jessica wondered how her old house faired. She imagined her parents were dead by now, which they had been for a little bit. But she never could imagine her house a different state than when she left it.

"That's up to you. I'm not going to deny the help or the company." Leland smiled. "It's weird. When I came back after all those years of being gone at college and abroad in the world, I never imagined how much of a toll it would take on my childhood home once my parents died..." He paused a moment in thought. "It didn't feel like such a long time had passed in between their death and my return." His parents had died in a car accident in his freshman year of college.

She frowned sadly,"I'm so sorry leeland" she told him genuinely, embracing him in a hug, hoping to comfort him.

Leland shrugged. "I've made my peace with what happened." However, he did accept the hug. "No good can come with dwelling on what could have been."

She nodded,"well I'm here to help with anything Leeland ok?" She said, licking over her fangs. "I wonder if animal blood will work?" She wondered.

[Anime]

"I wouldn't know..." Leland commented. "And, how do you propose we test that theory?"

She shrugged,"we used to catch rabbits, why not go out and try that now?" She asked.

[Anime]

Leland thought about it for awhile. "It's been a long time since I've done that... Remember how long it took us to get the hang of that?"

She giggled,"common, it will be fun"
