She pursed her lips, frowning at Alianna. "No, it's not," she replied, wanting them to understand, "there are some wackos out there who'd kill you then dance on your corpse once they found out you use magic."
Serena threw her hands up in the air, exasperated. One of these daye she'll get herself killed because of her trust for everyone, she thought bitterly, following after the two.
"I hope that's enough," Serena muttered, grimacing. After tonight, she wouldn't be surprised to know that a horde or dragons was coming to eat them all.
Serena shook her head, sighing. "I just wish none of this would've happened," she muttered, pressing her knuckles to her forehead, "life would've been easier if your father would've killed him."
The grimace grew. It also runs in the family, apparently, Serena thought to herself. Letting out a sigh, she put her hands behind her back. "No use worrying about it now. Let's head to bed, I'm exhausted. The soldiers will take care of the prince, some of them are taking him to the doctor to see if any other damage has happened."
Serena turned and walked down the hallway, her shoes clicking against the ground. It was the only sound that echoed down the hallway; the only sound that helped her keep her sanity.
Alianna looked around the room and got into bed. It seemed a lot more comfortable than it had at first and she slept for a long while. The next morning, she awoke, got dressed, and then went to go visit the prince and princess and bring them anything they needed.
The prince had been moved to his room after the doctor had cleared him of injuries. It seemed like the worst thing that would happen was he would be dizzy for a little bit. Sure enough, he struggled to sit up as he heard the knocking on the door. "Come in," he said hoarsely.
(Sorry for my late reply; for some reason, it wasn't showing up that you had replied to the thread.)
He let out a snort. "Try getting hit on the top of the head with a weapon then coming around to figure out that you've been captured by a crazy person," he muttered. Waving his hand, he replied, "No, my parents know that I'll probably be in bed the whole day."
