Suddenly, a crackling sound began to emanate from Alianna's palms. Small lightning bolts were circulating her wrists and fingers and she glared at Serena as she stood. Fire literally blazed in her eyes. "I will do what I please. Go hide yourself. If Threuss returns here he will never leave."
Serena rolled her eyes. "Fine, stay out here, though don't blame me when you've been captured by somebody," she snapped, turning on her heels and walking away, shoving things out of her way.
It had been a day since the two had parted. Since then, Serena's anger had slowly evaporated, though she was too prideful in apologizing. Actually, now that she thought about it, there was no need to apologize; Alianna was just being stubborn, that was all. And so, there she was, sitting in the forest, slowly beginning to get a fire started.
Alianna had somewhat come to terms with the fact that her father and mother were gone and so she had come to hang around with Serena a little. "I've been thinking," she said. "What if ee just went back to that kingdom? We could say tht we got captured again or something."
Serena clenched her jaw together to not let a snarky comment come flying out of her mouth. Taking a deep breath she slowly turned around and frowned at Alianna. "And how on earth would we get back there? Both of our horses are still recovering from the journey we took. If we walked it would take a fortnight." She turned back to her fire and tried, in vain, to get it started again.
Alianna shrugged. "I mean, the horses that were at our stables probably escaped. They probably aren't far off. You said yourself that we can't stay here."
Serena shrugged, turning back to her small fire. "If you say so. For now, I'm waiting for my horse to rest up," she said, adding another stick to the fire, sending sparks flying everywhere.
